Pancakes and Friends! Another wonderful Shrove Tuesday at St. Albans where we “cleared the fat” to prepare ourselves for Lent. Join us for our Ash Wednesday service tomorrow at 6pm.

Sometimes we hold onto things not knowing they will truly make a difference. We held MANY extra Bibles in our library. Pat Rice heard the call that CCM was in need of Bibles. With Fr Jonathan's blessing, she packed up 39 Bibles and delivered them to CCM! Thanks Pat! and Thanks be to GOD!

First, if you receive this email, DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK.

Second, if you do click on the link (the blurry photo), then I would advise that you change the password for your email immediately.

Third, delete it from your inbox. Since this email came from Kim’s office address, do not block it or you will have to unblock it in the future in order to receive emails from her.

This is a new one for me…usually the email is different, but it looks like they got into her account. (GRRRRRRR 😡)

Thank you for your attention to this matter. Please reach out to me if you have any questions. Not sure I can answer them right away, but we will work to figure this out.

Another fantastic Committee o’ Fun event! Last night was our Annual Oyster Roast & Chili Fest. Thanks to our leaders, Kyle Stocks and Lisa Jennings coordinating our MANY wonderful volunteers, this event is a well oiled machine! BIG thanks goes to all the people who purchased tickets to support our John Earl Outreach Roundtable.

SUNDAY CANCELATION

Dear People of St. Alban's,

Due to the forecast for several inches of snow this weekend, I am cancelling both worship services this Sunday, Feb. 1 - the morning service and our planned Choral Evensong. The weather should be better next weekend and we will have our Oyster Roast on Saturday evening the 7th and worship as usual that weekend. If you know of any one who would like to support our outreach ministries by buying a ticket to the Oyster Roast, contact the church office this week and we will save a ticket that can be paid for at the door that evening.

On personal note, I will say that this is the first time in my 29 years of pastoral ministry that I have ever had to cancel worship two weeks in a row due to weather. It seems strange to go so long without gathering, but I trust that you will all stay safe this weekend and reach out to
your St. Alban's family if you have need of any help.

If you would like to participate in online worship this Sunday morning, I would once again direct you to the live stream of our National Cathedral. That service begins at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday.
