We LOVE when YWAM families stop by for a visit as they travel across the USA! ā¤ļøšŸŒŽ

The Reddy family was such a blessing during their short time with us at YWAM Cross Wind! They prayed with us, helped us with meal planning for our upcoming DTS, and took time to encourage our team. Sometimes a short visit can bring exactly the encouragement you need! šŸ™Œ

And we got to bless them too! šŸ„° We were happy to provide rooms for them to stay, and the kids were THRILLED when Amy, our Horse Program Director, took them out for some horse rides! šŸ“

We love these Kingdom connectionsā€”families serving Jesus, crossing paths, sharing life, and encouraging one another along the way. ā¤ļø

What if you didnā€™t have to figure out your next season alone? ā¤ļø

If youā€™ve thought about doing a DTS but have felt like youā€™ve been missing people who listen to you, cheer you on, challenge you, and genuinely invest in you becoming who God created you to beā€¦

This could be the DTS for you.

Five of our DTS leaders are grandparents (and therefore parents šŸ˜‰) who LOVE seeing the next generation discover who God has created them to beā€”and then launching them into it.

Weā€™re not here to tell you who you should be.

We want to listen to your story, hear your questions, learn from your perspective, and walk alongside you as you grow in your relationship with God.

God doesn't call the equippedā€”He equips the called, provides for the journey, and brings you into a family along the way.

āœ‚ļø šŸ“‹ šŸ¤” DTS prep today involved a LOT of cutting, taping and thinking!

Mark and Grace worked together to map out our lecture phaseā€”writing each speakerā€™s name and the title of the week theyā€™ll be teaching, then connecting all the learning goals from our 6 units to the appropriate speakers.

Letā€™s just sayā€¦ there was some serious problem-solving happening! šŸ˜‚

Then we taped the learning goals onto orange sheets to keep everything organized, and now weā€™re making digital copies so we can track them throughout the school.

We learned this process from Stephanie at Gleanings in California, and it seemed like a great way to make sure weā€™re intentionally covering all of our learning goals by the end of lecture phase.

There is SO much to learn when youā€™re a pioneering base preparing for your very first DTS! But one of the things weā€™re most grateful for is the willingness of experienced YWAM bases and leaders to share what theyā€™ve learned with us.

We may be pioneeringā€¦ but we definitely arenā€™t doing this alone! ā¤ļø

This morning felt like a Campus Gathering. šŸ¤

Weā€™re changing the name of our Monday morning times to ā€œCampus Gatherings,ā€ and today felt like exactly thatā€”a group of people coming together to worship, pray, listen, and encourage one another.

Karen led us in worship, and the rest of us joined inā€”singing, praying, and making space for whatever God wanted to do.

At different moments, we paused to pray for one another and for the things weighing heavily on our hearts.

One team member shared that friends had just lost their little girl. So we stopped and prayed together for the Hobbs family. šŸ’”

And then we sang:

šŸŽ¶ ā€œWhat a Friend we have in Jesusā€¦ā€ šŸŽ¶

There was something so comforting about singing those familiar words together. In the middle of grief, we were reminded that Jesus is near, He cares, and we donā€™t have to carry the hard things alone.

Ben challenged us to focus this morning not on what we wanted God to do, but on what He wanted to show us about who He isā€”His character and His nature.

And so many beautiful promises and words were shared.

WHEN WE PRAY, GOD MOVES. šŸ™šŸ”„

Monday in the Prayer Room at YWAM Cross Wind was a powerful reminder that intercession is more than just praying about needsā€”itā€™s partnering with God in what He is already doing.

We were honored to welcome House of Samuel and spend time praying for the 96 children in their care. We prayed over specific children, specific needs, and specifically for Godā€™s provision as they build new dormitories for the girls.

But before we prayed, we got to hear the storiesā€¦ and WOW.

Stories of miraculous provision.
Stories of the unreached coming to Christ.
Stories of transformation happening throughout the community.
Stories that remind us that God is movingā€”even when we canā€™t always see the full picture. šŸ™Œ

We left encouraged and expectant, believing that the God who has provided again and again will continue to provide for these children and for the work He has called House of Samuel to do.

The two prayer cards in this photo represent just two of the children we prayed for on Monday. And there are still children who are waiting for sponsors.

If you walked into YWAM Cross Wind right now, youā€™d hear some LOUD pounding! šŸ”ØšŸ˜‚

Our campus leader, Ben Smith, is hard at work building a sound booth in our DTS classroom as we get ready for our very first Discipleship Training School! šŸ‘‘

And hereā€™s a really cool God storyā€¦

Ben stopped by our local lumber yard and shared with them what weā€™re doing here at YWAM Cross Wind. They generously donated a $300 gift card to help with the project! šŸ™Œ

Then Ben went shopping for the supplies he neededā€¦

Guess how much the building supplies came to?

$298. šŸ˜³šŸ™Œ

Two dollars left over.

I just love how God provides for the details! ā¤ļø

Weā€™re still believing God for $5,500 to cover the rest of the supplies and classroom upgrades we need before our DTS students arrive on September 24.
