Hesperus Church We are a church of Christians from all walks of life. We gather on Sunday mornings to worship God together. We invite you to visit us this Sunday at 11am.

Hesperus Church is a community of believers that desires God's best for people. We value good preaching, friendly relationships, worship from our hearts and serving other people. Our Sunday morning services are down-to-earth. The preaching is conversational style. The songs are blended - a mix of new songs and the old fashion ones. Come at 10:40am for coffee and snacks. Kids Church and Nursery for

children Birth to age eleven is provided Sundays after the worship service (singing). On the third Sunday of each month is Family Sunday (there is no Kids Church).

News Flash!! Hesperus Christian Academy is having an Open House this Tuesday, August 4, from 6 pm to 9 pm at Hesperus Church!!
It will be a Christian education for grades K-12. Come check out this wonderful opportunity to enroll your kids in a terrific school where they will be taught excellent academics and great values. Have all your questions answered and talk to the staff.

Welcome to Brett Willis and his terrific, fun-loving and mischievous family!! Brett was called to be our pastor and is very busy renovating the parsonage (with a little help from his friends!) and helping us "update" the church.
Brett is energetic and real! Please feel welcome to come worship with us every Sunday at 11 am and meet Brett and his family.
Don't forget VBS starts June 22, 9-11:30 am. The great folks from Salem Baptist Church in Oklahoma will be bringing the fun learning and activities; all kids ages 4-8th grade are welcome and urged to attend!!

Calling all kids!! VBS is in the works! It will be hosted at Hesperus Church and conducted by the great folks from Oklahoma who helped us last year!!
It begins June 22 and runs through the 26, from 9 am til 11:30 am. Kids age 4 through 8th grade are cordially invited and encouraged to attend!! Family Night will be Friday evening June 26.

Yaaay! Four classrooms have fresh paint and are ready for new set-up and fun studies!
Don't forget, we're having a fellowship meal together after Bible study and worship service tomorrow. Y'all come; bring a side dish or dessert if you wish, and join us for a great meal and good fellowship.

Wow! We have a busy and fun week planned for church this week!...

Thursday, Feb 5, 6:30 p.m., youth (with new youth leader Lucas Morrison) and adults will be emptying some downstairs rooms and preparing them for painting.

Friday, beginning at 8:30 a.m., we will paint. We will need folks for detail (brush) work along with roller handlers, stirrer/pourers, cleaners, and food helpers. We do plan to have lunch, so perhaps you can bring something to share (even if you're "not a painter").

Sunday, following worship, we will have a Mexican potluck fellowship. Some folks are talking Mexican food, but we also need side dishes & desserts! We look forward to having YOU there!

(We are planning another work day in the near future, and youth and prayer are now on Thursdays at 6:30. Sunday's, both adult Bible study and sermons are looking at the book of Nehemiah. Children have fun learning with Roger downstairs.)

If you haven't been to church lately, you are missing out!! We're studying Proverbs in Sunday School, and the Lord's Word is being preached by guest preachers. Kelly Direen is becoming a regular with us; he's a warm and brotherly friend who has a generous heart!
Prayer time at Ayers' is also a time of good fellowship. Come join us for any or all of these.
