Let God Guard Your Heart

Not everything deserves space in your heart. The things you watch, listen to, think about, and dwell on can slowly shape the way you see life. That is why God tells us to guard our hearts. It does not mean shutting people out or ignoring what is happening around us. It means being careful about what we allow to take root inside us. When negativity, bitterness, jealousy, or fear starts creeping in, bring it to God before it grows. Fill your heart with His truth, spend time in His Word, and ask Him to help you focus on what is good. A heart that stays close to God will still face difficult days, but it will not be controlled by them. Protect what God is growing inside you.

Deja que Dios guarde tu corazón

No todo merece un lugar en tu corazón. Aquello que miras, escuchas, piensas y en lo que te detienes a reflexionar puede moldear poco a poco tu manera de ver la vida. Por eso Dios nos dice que guardemos nuestro corazón. Esto no significa cerrarse a los demás ni ignorar lo que sucede a nuestro alrededor; significa tener cuidado con lo que permitimos que eche raíces en nuestro interior. Cuando la negatividad, la amargura, los celos o el miedo empiecen a infiltrarse, entrégaselos a Dios antes de que crezcan. Llena tu corazón con Su verdad, dedica tiempo a Su Palabra y pídele que te ayude a centrarte en lo bueno. Un corazón que permanece cerca de Dios seguirá enfrentando días difíciles, pero no se dejará dominar por ellos. Protege lo que Dios está haciendo crecer en tu interior.

Forgiveness Sets Your Heart Free

Forgiveness can be one of the hardest things God asks us to do, especially when someone has deeply hurt us. But holding on to anger and resentment often hurts us more than the person who wronged us. Jesus reminds us that forgiveness is not optional in the Christian life. We forgive because we have been forgiven. That does not mean what happened was okay, and it does not always mean trust is immediately restored. It means we choose to release the hurt to God instead of carrying it everywhere we go. When forgiveness feels impossible, ask God to soften your heart and help you take the first step. You may have to make that choice more than once, but each time you do, you are choosing freedom over bitterness and allowing God’s grace to work in your heart.
