🌳 Lunch Under the Trees 🌳

For the past 12 weeks, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church has been blessed to provide more than 480 lunches to children throughout Perquimans County through our Lunch Under the Trees summer outreach ministry.

As this season of service draws to a close, we find ourselves quietly grateful—for those who prepared lunches, organized, delivered, and gave their time in faithful service to our neighbors. It's been a summer spent nourishing children in our community, one lunch at a time.

A special thank you to our ECW (Episcopal Church Women) for the school supplies distributed today, our final Tuesday of the program—a gentle way to send our children into the new school year feeling cared for.

Lunch Under the Trees has been more than a summer outreach. It's been a reminder of what community can do together, and an extension of Holy Trinity's call to love and serve our neighbors. Thank you for helping us nourish both bodies and spirit. May God continue to bless this ministry and all who carry it forward. 🙏

Almighty God, who hast given us this good land for our heritage: We humbly beseech the that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of thy favor and glad to do thy will. Bless our land with honorable industry, sound learning and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion; from pride and arrogance, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion into one united people the multitudes bright hither out of many kindreds and tongues. Endue with the spirit of wisdom those to whom in the Name we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that, through obedience to thy law, we may show forth thy praise among the nations of the earth. In the time of prosperity, fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in thee to fail; all which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
