We operate Our Lady of Mt Carmel Regional Catholic School serving children PK-8th grade.

This weekend at the Masses, Fr. Mark read two letters from Bishop Godfrey. The first letter was re-appointing Fr. Mark as Pastor of Our Lady of Mt Carmel and Holy Spirit Parish for a second six-year term. The second letter was directed to Mr. Bill Harper to assume the role of moderator of Holy Spirit Parish. Fr. Mark will only celebrate Sunday Mass at Holy Spirit one Sunday a month. Mr. Harper will be responsible to work with the Diocese to secure supply priests to cover the other weekends. These things all become effective 1 July 2026.

This past Sunday, as part of our Futures Begin Here campaign, we were honored to dedicate the Calcaterra Family Green Pod at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School.

The Calcaterra family has been a cornerstone of our parish community for four generations. It began with Fred's father, an OLMC graduate who planted the seeds of a lasting legacy. Fred carried that tradition forward as an OLMC graduate himself, followed by his son Ben (Class of 1992), and now grandchildren Bella (Class of 2026), Cooper, and Chloe (Class of 2028). Their love for this school and this parish runs deep, and now their name will live within these walls forever.

Thank you, Fred, Pat, and the entire Calcaterra family. This embodies the spirit of Futures Begin Here.

As we move now into the Easter season, let us never forget the message of Easter. No matter how dark the darkness gets, God enters in with the light of salvation, calling us forth to newness of life. During the Easter season, let us stay focused on that message and let us also stay focused on sharing the light we have received to all we meet. Happy Easter.
