Meet Dan & Jordan:
Dan: I serve on the Production team, helping run the sound for Sunday services. In 2022, a former music minister’s wife asked me to help run cameras and that’s how I started serving. It’s a fun place to serve and I get to learn something new.

Jordan: I serve on the Hospitality Team and the Kids Check-in Team! I started serving in 2019 and have met amazing people along that journey. I find great joy loving on people through food. Knowing that people can have their basic needs met while also having their spiritual needs met is what Jesus continually showed us to do and it is an honor to follow His lead.
I began serving in Kids Min because I’m a teacher. But I quickly found out that check-in was the place for me. Getting to know the different families in the church helped me when I became a mother and showed me just how God is raising up another generation for Him.

“If this Jesus stuff were true, it would change everything.”

That’s what Rusty Coram realized as a 19-year-old factory worker who had just failed out of his first year of college. After an unexpected encounter with a down-to-earth evangelist, Rusty left behind drugs and aimlessness, and embarked on a lifelong adventure with God.
Decades later, Rusty is the Senior Pastor of New Hope Church, which he and his wife Becky planted in Northern Virginia in 1991 with a small, dedicated team. From setting up a “portable church” in Fairfax County school cafeterias for 16 years to leading a thriving community today, God has used every piece of Rusty’s past—including his time running a landscaping business—to do something amazing.
We are incredibly honored to have Rusty as our guest speaker tomorrow.

Come ready to be encouraged and inspired!

Meet Alexandra.

I serve as the K-1st Grade Teacher in our Kids Ministry Team!
I was motivated to start volunteering because I simply saw that there was a need. Being a mom of three kids and prior teaching and curriculum experience, I wanted to help. I also wanted my own kids to see their parents serving in the church since we are the body of Christ and I knew that our involvement would eventually propel them to want to get involved one day.

Seeing my students’ love for God grow as we pray for one another, read the Bible together, and participate in activities that make scripture more interesting is one of the many reasons why I joyfully serve every month at church. It is a privilege to teach the future generation of believers and I am truly grateful that I get to be a part of their learning and growth!

Series: Questions Jesus Asked 💬

Last week, Pastor William took us into Mark 10:46–52, where we meet Bartimaeus, a blind beggar sitting by the roadside. Jesus stops after Bartimaeus calls out to him and asks him a surprising question: “What do you want me to do for you?” (Mark 10:51)
Think about that for a second. Jesus fully knew what Bartimaeus wanted and needed. So why ask?

Because Jesus doesn’t just see a problem to be solved—He sees a person to be loved. By asking, Jesus shows us that He is actively listening. He completely rejects the idea that this man is defined by his disability. Instead, Jesus uses this question as a beautiful way of relating to him as a whole human being (Copenhaver, 2014).

No matter what you are carrying today, know this: Jesus sees you, He is listening, and He wants to relate to you.

⛪ Join Us Tomorrow!

We are continuing our “Questions Jesus Asked” series this Sunday, and we would love to worship with you. Bring a friend, grab a coffee, and join us at 9:00 AM or 11:00 AM at 2620 Reston Pkwy.

Meet Joel.
"I serve on both the Media & Productions team and at Kids Min Check-in! From my very first week at church, I knew I wanted to dive in and really be a part of this community. I headed over to the gazebo after service and asked Pastor William where the help was needed—because every church has a need! He pointed me toward Productions and Kids Ministry.
After praying about it that week, I felt God clearly moving my heart to commit and serve. I love being on the Productions team because it lets me jump in and help whenever technical issues pop up, and being at Check-in is the perfect way to meet and connect with new people!"

Meet Joe.

“I’m Joe and whether I’m sending things into orbit or helping you find your circle, I am all about making meaningful connections. By day, I work as a systems engineer in the space industry. I currently serve as the Connections Director here at The Corner Church. I’ve always had a knack for organization and problem-solving, so when the need arose, I felt God nudging me to use those skills to help people move from simply attending to truly belonging.

I’m originally from South Carolina, but after moving to Northern Virginia, my wife Macy and I found a deep, welcoming community right here at TCC. That experience completely inspired me to pay it forward. My own testimony is centered on the way people poured their time, faith, and love into me, and now that I’m a dad, I also want to set that same active example for my boys.

Around the church, you’ll usually find me overseeing our small groups, planning fellowship events, or co-leading the Parents of Babies & Toddlers group alongside Macy. When I’m off the clock, I love playing video games, planning themed events, and chasing around my two energetic sons, Henry and Jonathan. If we haven’t met yet, please come say hi this Sunday—I would love to help you find your people here!
