Friendsgiving was a great time with cooking, games, and of course, eating (with a little bit of back talk from the smoke detector)!

Bro. Brendan gave a devotional from Ephesians 5:15-20.
“15 Therefore look carefully how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 On account of this, do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; 20 always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;”

True Thanksgiving always flows from true grace. From 2 Corinthians 4:15, “All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God” (2 Corinthians 4:15)

Thanksgiving (gratitude) is both the effect and the evidence of the grace received. It glorifies God, aligns the believer’s affections with His purposes, and testifies to the gospel’s power to bring eternal life to sinners dead in their trespasses.
