"Some people seem to have an 'easy and uncomplicated path in life—or so it seems from the outside; while for others like you everything seems complicated and difficult. Don't let that bother you. Actually, from the spiritual point of view, those who really have an 'easy time’ are probably in danger!—precisely because without the element of suffering through whatever God sends, there is no spiritual profit or advancement. God knows each of us better than we know ourselves, and He sends what is needful for us, whatever we may think!"

Try to remember God more often during the day.

If you feel bad, turn to Him with such a prayer, "Lord, I feel bad, help me."

If you feel good, tell Him,
"Lord, glory be to You, I thank You for the joy I'm feeling."

If you are worried about someone, tell God, "Lord, I am worried about them, I feel sorry for them, help them."

And do so throughout the day - turn whatever happens to you into prayer.

A prayer for our students as they begin the school year:

Christ my Lord, the Giver of light and wisdom, who opened the eyes of the blind man and transformed the fishermen into wise heralds and teachers of the gospel through the coming of the Holy Spirit, shine also in my mind the light of the grace of the Holy Spirit. Grant me discernment, understanding and wisdom in learning. Enable me to complete my assignments and to abound in every good work, for to You I give honor and glory. Amen.
