Mental and emotional struggles are not new. David, Paul, Peter, Job, and even Jesus experienced seasons of deep emotional and mental distress. If you are struggling, you are not alone. Anxiety, depression, fear, and overwhelming thoughts can leave us feeling isolated, broken, and without hope. But God has not left us without an answer.
Sound Mind Ministries is a Christ-centered ministry created to provide a safe place for people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, panic, fear, overthinking, and other battles. This is a place to find practical help, biblical truth, connection, encouragement and hope.
You don’t have to struggle alone. There is freedom, hope, and healing in Christ. This new ministry begins this Thursday, Sept. 3 and will continue every other week on Thursdays at 6 p.m. in the church's new gymnasium on Hwy. 54 across from Casey's convenience store..

Lots going on at the Hickory County Back to School Bash located at the H.C. Health Department. on Hwy. 254. First Baptist of Hermitage is offering all kinds of shoes in conjunction with the Bash. Lots of other give-aways and activities going on. Don't miss it. Today, Aug. 13 from 1-5 p.m.!

Come join us for a baked potato bar lunch this Sunday, July 26, to support our IMPACT Youth as they prepare to go on their annual summer mission trip. This year they will be going to Monroe, Louisiana, the first week in August. The fundraiser will be by donation and will be in Hermitage First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall immediately following morning worship.
