Today and tomorrow evening the Hispanic advisory council along with the knights of Columbus from Our lady of Angel's catholic church. Bi Mart, the Oregon health department and others are hosting a vaccination program. From 5 pm to 8 pm in the north parking lot of the Catholic church located at 565 west hermiston Avenue. Follow the signs. The vaccination is free. Come tonight and get the shot. Protect yourself and your family.

In the coming weeks the Hispanic advisory council should be able to resume meetings. We will keep you posted. In the mean time stay safe, social distance, wear a mask when in public to protect yourself and ours.

The Hispanic advisory committee meetings are still in limbo, because of the virus. But Jose Garcia and I are stilling getting messages out on Hispanic radio stations, of encouragement, information on where people can get food packages, and local support families in need during these trying times.

As you know the corona virus has cancelled all public meetings until further notice. We all with the Hispanic advisory committee wish you well. We will contact you when the crisis is over and we reschedule meetings. Until that time take care of yourself and your family. Listen to the news and stay home as much as possible.

The members of the Hispanic advisory committee are waiting for your questions at our meetings and on this site. Please forward us your questions and we will try to provide answers in a timely manner. We as a committee are determined to make our community better.

Last night Jose Garcia was reelected as chairman and I was reelected as vice chairman of the Hispanic advisory committee for another year. We both look forward to working together for the betterment of the community.
