It was a SUPER Sunday at Salem! We experienced so many wonderful moments together yesterday as we celebrated the last day of Sunday School. Our children completed their Mother’s Day projects and helped lead worship, filling the day with joy and energy.

We also celebrated and blessed our graduates as they begin exciting new chapters in their lives. To top it all off, we were honored to welcome Bishop-elect Pastor Taryn Montgomery. Pastor Taryn shared an inspiring message about the meaning of generosity, and after worship she led us in a fun and engaging time of learning more about living generously together.

Our work here is finished at least for this year. Great week! We did a lot for the homeowners here and met some amazing people. Twenty years after our first trip and helping others never gets old.

I’ve been sharing Bible verses on this post every day of this trip for several years about serving others and I don’t think I’ve used the same verse twice. That’s because God put hundreds of verses in the Bible about serving others. It’s a big deal and not just a suggestion. Now I will put a verse here I have used before because I think it captures what this is all about.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God has prepared in advance for us to do.

We are created to do good works, to serve. Maybe that’s why it brings us such joy! God Bless.
