With grieving hearts, yet steadfast hope in Christ, we share the passing of our beloved sister Sandra L. Douglas–Schmidt, who entered the presence of Jesus on February 28, 2026.

Sandy was a devoted and active member of New Life Church in Herkimer. She faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher and lived out her faith through compassion, generosity, and a true servant’s heart.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 4:00–6:00 PM at Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, 527 E. Albany St., Herkimer, NY. A Christian service will follow at 6:00 PM in the funeral home's chapel. A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held afterward at the Herkimer VFW on Mohawk Street. Please continue to lift Michael and the entire Douglas–Schmidt family in prayer.

We just had our very first session of our School of Evangelism, and it was powerful! 🙌

We are partnering with the Lord and His great commission to see Herkimer and our surrounding area saved, discipled, and transformed.

Do you want to grow in confidence and learn how to share your faith with boldness and love? This course is completely free for believers. We only ask that you commit, as much as possible, to attending each session, since materials are prepared for every participant.

Come be equipped and be part of what God is doing in our region!

The harvest 🌾 is here and with great joy we’re calling out: “Now is the time to seek the Lord” (Hosea 10:12). This year we are pressing into our access in Him, to partner with what He is saying and doing. We invite you to join us in fasting and prayer January 6–8, with a night of prayer and worship on Wednesday at 6:30 PM.

Project is aimed for a 5 day week in the October/November time frame, but even 1-2 days is a huge help. Exact time to be determined.
