un and inspiring and our services are filled with humor, music, laughter, and ideas that will enhance your lives, your family's lives, and everyone you touch. At Unity of the Huachucas we have a standing message in our bi-monthly newsletter. That message is, "We reserve the right to accept everybody!" regardless of race, creed, age, physical ability, sexual orientation or religion of origin. That's our position and we are sticking to it! (Some of that humor creeping in!)
Unity has been well known for years (with many not realizing the connection) through Daily Word, our daily prayer devotional. If you have ever called Silent Unity, the 24/7 prayer-line and asked for prayer (1-800-669-7729) you have also been touched by Unity. Unity is "Practical Christianity" because it is clear of the dogma and ritual that has crept into Christian spirituality since after the first century C.E. Unity is pure Christianity for today as it was at the time of Jesus, our brother and way-shower. Unity ministers and leaders often say, "Take what fits and leave the rest" because Unity is not so much a religion as it is a way of life. A guru once said, “Send out love and harmony, put your mind and body in a peaceful place, and then allow the Universe/God to work in the perfect way it knows how.” That "perfect way" is to understand that Truth is Truth no matter where it comes from. Unity does not believe we have a corner on that Truth. In Unity we believe we have the full-force of the Divine in us, in potential, because we are made in the image and likeness of God. We believe that God is the only absolute power in the universe; there is no opposite. We believe that we create our entire life by the power of our thinking, as we think, so we are! And we firmly believe in the power of prayer and meditation to change our life; the Christ in us, our hope of glory. We invite you to join us in this exciting journey of self-discovery.
