As summer kicks into gear on the south shore, remember to talk to your spawn about boat safety. It can be difficult to remember all the dangers spawn can face in the pupal stage, particularly for progenitors who grew up on land, but the simple acronym LARKS is a good place to start.
(L)ook (A)round. Always observe your environment. Don't get fixated on a single target until you know they are alone. Remind your spawn that human boats can be almost as fast as shoggoth, so keep those whiskers peeled for rhythmic vibrations.
(R)epeat. Always check twice.
(K)ill (S)ilently. Humans will always scream if they can resurface. As much fun as they are to toy with, resist the urge to let them try to escape, and keep them underwater.
Following these few simple rules will help reduce the loss rate of your spawn and hasten the rise of our glory!
