As One I am currently visiting churches around the August area until we are placed into a new church.

This Sunday I went to Legacy Ridge Baptist Church. The verses we read were Acts 4:1-22.

The people were friendly and they had a good praise team and a preacher with good jokes along with good preaching.

I didn't post for a while because we visited some of the churches that we already visited.

This Sunday I went to Hillcrest Baptist, the preacher there was a guest preacher and the lesson was on how great God is and that we are called to lead the next generation the verse was Psalms 145:1-4. He leads a ministry called nextgenministries to reach the younger generations.

The people there are friendly and the preacher at that church is a good one as well. My family attended that church a few weeks before visiting other churches. They do a food pantry as well and have a page as well.

This Sunday I went to Providence Baptist Church.

The people were friendly, and it's been a while but I attended there years ago and there were people who recognized my family.

The message was in Romans 15:30-33 and it was about praying for God's will to be done.

This Sunday I went to Martinez Baptist Church.

The people were friendly and welcomed us.

At the beginning the had an anointing for healing moment where they would allow you if you wanted to come up and be anointed with oil to heal you.

I liked the music as well, they sung classic hymns and one of the songs "Days of Elijah" where the men and women had verses to sing and then would sing all together.

They had a children's moment in the service but the kids were away on a 3 day trip, so they talked about the upcoming VBS.

The pastor was in John 9:24-41 and he taught that you can see something but not believe it. Just like how the Pharasees see Jesus perform miracles, they refuse to believe he is the son of God.

They also have a camera to upload sermons onto their page.

For a while I have been forgetting/ maybe avoiding posting to this page because I didn't know what to do with it, but today it came to me that while I'm visiting different churches I can share my thoughts and experiences on them.

Today I visited Abilene Baptist in the Martinez area. I'm not used to mega churches and felt nervous being in a big church but the message was pretty good. The preacher was talking about miracles and how Jesus turned water into wine without having to even touch anything.

The music was a mix of classic hymns and worship songs you heard on the radio. They had a pretty big and dedicated choir and live music. The bulletin was digital and included upcoming events and what they raised last week. Not allot of people will come to greet guests but they do welcome guests through announcements and have gift bags in their lobby.

Over all a mega church isn't my thing but the message was good and I enjoyed the praise team. It kinda felt like a concert though and people seemed to be more into a my seat kinda vibe. Two people sat in front of us and they whispered about not used to sitting in that row. Mega churches are more of an insider kinda church and not too welcoming of new people.

Sorry I've been forgetting to post on here, I've been doing some college work, todays verse is a full chapter, it's from Psalms 91. I'm probably gonna move the verse of the week to verse or chapter of the month until college classes are done. Have a good week.

91 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

This week's verse is galatians 3:28,

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

This verse here is stating that everyone is equal in the eyes of God, no one is loved more or less. It doesn't matter the gender,the religion, the skin color, or the race everyone is loved equal.
