What a joyful moment of pride and celebration for this bright and shining star! We extend heartfelt congratulations to Kali Bracy, a scholar at Deer Chase Elementary School, who continues to shine with excellence in both character and academics. 📚🌟

Kali has truly distinguished herself in so many beautiful ways, earning an impressive list of achievements:

Take Me to the Water

"Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins..." — Acts 2:38 (KJV)

Y'all know the song:

🎶 "Take me to the water, take me to the water, take me to the water, to be baptized..." 🎶

Well, that's exactly what happened today!

With hearts surrendered to God and a desire to walk in obedience to His Word, Rihanna, Jasmine, Cheyenne, and Ryleigh went down into the water and were baptized as a public declaration of their faith in Jesus Christ.

They got dipped—way down in the water—not just for tradition's sake, but as a symbol of the old life being buried and a new life beginning in Christ. Baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation, a testimony that they have chosen to follow the Lord and trust Him with their lives.

Today was more than getting wet; it was about commitment. It was about covenant. It was about declaring before God, family, friends, and the church that they belong to Him.

As a church family, let us continue to pray for them, encourage them, and support them as they grow in their walk with Christ. May their faith remain steadfast, their hearts remain humble, and their lives be a reflection of God's grace and goodness.

Heaven rejoices when souls draw closer to God, and today we rejoice with them!

A Public Declaration of Faith

Scripture: "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead... even so we also should walk in newness of life." — Romans 6:4 (KJV)

Today marks more than getting dipped in the water. It is a public declaration of an inward transformation, a commitment to follow Christ, and a confirmation of their covenant relationship with God.

Baptism symbolizes the old life being buried and a new life arising in Christ Jesus. It is an act of obedience, faith, and surrender to the will of God. While the water does not save, it represents the saving grace of Jesus Christ and the believer's commitment to walk in His ways.

As a church family, let us encourage, support, and pray for these new disciples as they continue their spiritual journey. May they grow in wisdom, faith, and understanding, becoming living testimonies of God's goodness and grace.

Congratulations, Soldier! A New Chapter Begins

We are happy to announce and congratulate PVT Malik Thompkins on his successful Army Boot Camp Graduation!

We are truly proud of this remarkable achievement as Malik has officially earned the title of Soldier in the United States Army. His dedication, discipline, and commitment have brought him to this important milestone, and we celebrate him with great pride.

Malik will continue his military journey at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, where he will attend Advanced Individual Training (AIT). Upon completion, he will PCS to Fort Campbell, Kentucky, home of the Air Assault Division, where he will continue serving our nation with honor and distinction.

Malik is the son of Sister Cendall Mack and the grandson of Reverends Wilbur and Sharon Hines. We know that his family, church family, and community share in the joy of this accomplishment.

Please join us in showering Malik with love, encouragement, and congratulations. Most importantly, let us continue to keep him lifted in prayer as he embarks upon this new season of adulthood, responsibility, and service to our country.

🎓 Hard Work Pays Off! Congratulations, Owen! 🎓

It is with great pride and excitement that we celebrate the academic success of our rising 5th grader, Master Owen U. Udo, a student at Georgia Connections Academy!

Owen faced challenges in Math, but instead of giving up, he worked tirelessly, remained determined, and pushed through every obstacle. His hard work and perseverance have paid off with an impressive overall GPA of 96.9 — and that sounds like an A+ effort to me! 🌟

Owen is the son of Mr. Prize and Mrs. Briana Lamb-Udo and the eldest grandson of Deacon Donald and Sister Patricia Lamb.

A special salute goes out to his parents for providing the encouragement, guidance, and support necessary to help him succeed. Behind every successful child is a village of people who believe in them, challenge them, and refuse to let them settle for less than their best.

Owen, your dedication is proof that struggles do not define us—our determination to overcome them does. You set a wonderful example for other young people by showing that hard work, perseverance, and a positive attitude can lead to great achievements.

What an exciting milestone for these precious twins as they continue to grow, learn, and shine. We are so proud of all they have accomplished and can't wait to see what the future holds for them.

We definitely can’t forget this little lady, Miss Malaysia Williams, as she makes her BIG step from Preschool into Kindergarten! What an exciting and proud moment for this beautiful young queen and her family!

Preschool at Sue Reynolds Elementary School simply won’t be the same without her bright smile, sweet spirit, and joyful personality lighting up the room.

Malaysia is the proud daughter of Ms. Asya Stephens and Mr. Sharod Williams; granddaughter of Sister Retrenda Miniweather; and great-granddaughter of Sister Lynette Stephens. She comes from a strong, loving family rooted in faith, and as the saying goes: “A family that prays together, stays together!”
