We are proud to be hosting an electric vehicle Fire/Rescue operations course.

The instructors are from Energy Security Agency (ESA) and they are highly skilled, knowledgeable and capable of teaching all of the needed tactics and strategies necessary for safe and successful rescue and suppression involving electric vehicles.

The date is October 15 2022.

This class highly beneficial for all fire-rescue personnel and towing companies. We are inviting all agencies within our surrounding area.
The cost for firefighters, towing company employees, or anyone participating in hands-on training will be $275/person. You will complete the day with a certification and a wealth of valuable knowledge in this field.

The class size for hands-on participants is currently limited to 40 people, so RSVP quickly!

For police officers, EMT’s, or any other first-responder wishing to observe, but not participate in hands-on scenarios, there is no charge.

The Basic Cemetery Preservation Class has been scheduled for Saturday, September 10th, and ready for registrations. Cost will be $25.00 per person. Registration should be made out to the Charlestown Cemetery Association and must be received by August 26th in order to hold your spot and for our instructor, Tim Moore to purchase all the supplies each student will need.
Please send your registration to: The Charlestown Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 429, Charlestown, IN. 47111.
The Agenda for September 10th is as follows:
9a.m. - Begin check-in
10a.m. - Class begins in the older section of the cemetery
1 hour lunch is planned
Class should end sometime between 3-4p.m.
Please remember that you should bring a bottle of water, gloves if you need them and possibly a lawn chair if you can't bend for long periods of time.

I want to thank everyone that came out for the cleanup day. We got more done than expected. Next work day we will work on markers and crosses. Thanks to all that came out, to many to name.

Hey friends we are going to have a clean up day September 30th 9am until. We need strong hands and backs. If you don't have a strong back bring some tools or water every little bit helps. All tools are needed as we need to clear some brush and small trees.Nancy will provide food, please RSVP so we know how many to plan for. This is at Little Union on North Francke Rd. In Henryville.

A big THANK YOU to Jeanne Burke of the Clark County Museum. They had some old displays that they could not use anymore and donated them to us. We are repurposing the wood for new crosses to mark the graves. Anyone that is intrested in the restoration project please feel free to contact us. Thanks again Jeanne.
