“Can A Woman Preach The Gospel?”

I Timothy 2:11-12 is a passage that has been misread and mistaught to be pertaining to women pastors. However, research and the context of the passage proves that the women Paul was referring to were women who were pagans, who were taught that they were by nature to be over their husbands. The City of Ephesus was full of those women. They were taught not to get married and if they were married they were taught not to have s*x with their husbands. They were charged by the priests of the Goddess Diana to overtake their husbands. This caused great quarrels between the men and the women in Ephesus. The were loud and sometimes violent. They were very contentious, They taught this to other women. Addressing this in vs 1-9 Paul is trying to settle the men down as he says those men need to stop the quarrelling with those women and lift up holy hands without wrath on those women. Those women were aggressive as an angry mob who were against their husband's and God's desire for them to hush from their war against the men. So, Paul says concerning them that they must be hesuchia in the original text (the word silence was not in the original text) but the Greek word hesuchia was the word Paul used which meant the hushing of an unruly crowd. in other words those women must not teach the paganism of Diana but instead they need to calm down and learn as hormonious and peaceful citizens.
Those women were not pastors, They were not teaching the gospel. this is not a prohibition for women pastors, Not at all. This is not referring to teaching bible class nor preaching a Sunday Morning sermon, by Women Pastors. Those of you who are unlearned in the background of the Scriptures need to study the Bible so that you will stop teaching the false doctrine that God is against women pastors from this passage.

When we talk about women in the ministry, we should always consider both the Old Testament and New Testament..
Here are a few very Prominent Women Found in Scripture-
Miriam- the Prophetess
A prophetess was, therefore, a spokeswoman for God. The faithful prophet or prophetess was one who, regardless of whether or not he or she was listened to, spoke everything God said to speak. There are several prophetesses mentioned in the Bible.
In the Old Testament we have Miriam, the sister of Aaron and Moses, who was a prophetess (Exodus 15:20).
Deborah was another prophetess, and she was also the only woman that we know of to judge ALL Israel (Judges 4:4).
Another prophetess in the Bible is Huldah, who lived in Jerusalem during the reign of King Josiah (2 Kings 22:14; 2 Chronicles 34:22). As Josiah was making reforms in Judah, he found a copy of the Law in the temple. He read it and was troubled over his nation’s disobedience. Josiah inquired of the Lord through Huldah the prophetess. Huldah prophesied a disaster that God would bring upon Judah for its idolatry, but Josiah, because of his humility and tender heart before God, would go to his grave in peace and not see the disaster (2 Chronicles 34:19–28).
An unnamed prophetess is mentioned in Isaiah 8:1–4. This prophetess bore Isaiah’s son Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz, whose name was prophetic.

Esther- Esther 1
Mary- the Mother of Jesus- She was the First to Proclaim Who Jesus was!
The Woman at the well in John 4- proclaimed the message of Jesus to the Men of the town
Romans 16- tells of Phebe, Paul said she was a servant, verse 2 shows the saints were to ASSIST her in whatsoever business she needed...
Also in the same Chapter, Priscilla and Aquila, scriptures suggest they were pastors of churches or at least ministers...
Philippians 4:2-3- HELP THOSE WOMEN
“2 I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.
3 And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.
4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.”
2 John 1:1- to the Elect Lady
1 To The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;
2 For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.
3 Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

When it comes to 1 Corinthians 14:34.. they always stop at the one Verse! when actually they should keep reading, let us Read 30-40

31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.
32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.
35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?
37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.
39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.
40 Let all things be done decently and in order.
Paul says, what?? In my words he says where did you get this from? He said The Teachings are not right!! He was straightening it out!!
1 Timothy 2:8-15, talks about the Homelife and coming under subjection to the Husband in the HOME.. note the singular of MAN and WOMAN.
8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 But I suffer not a WOMAN to teach, nor to usurp authority over the MAN, but to be in silence.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
Acts 8:3-4
3 As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling MEN and WOMEN committed them to prison.
4 Therefore THEY that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.
Who is They in verse 4?? Verse 3 says it was MEN AND WOMEN!! the Women weren’t hauled off to Prison for making Peanut Brittle, they were arrested for Preaching!!!
Acts 18:26.. they had A Woman teaching in the Synagogue to the MEN!!!
25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
27 And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace.
Galatians 3:27-28
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Church, WE HAVE GOT TO QUIT LOOKING AT THE FLESH! We Need to Get the Message out to the people!!!

(God Calls Both Men And Women To Preach)
If you’re a woman and you feel strongly called to preach to both men and women and you are worried about disobeying God by pursuing this idea, this post is for you.
Should women preach over men? This is one of those hot topics in the Church that quickly sparks arguments and tempers. And yet before we go pouring a bunch of time and energy into defending our answer to this question, we need to realize the question itself is wrong. To ask if women should preach over men is a complete sidestep of the real issue. Instead we should be asking if ANY individual should be preaching without first receiving God’s clear Authorization to do so. The answer, of course, is no. To get up and preach God’s truths to the masses without His permission is a total violation of His Authority. We do not lead God, and without Him we are all brainless fools. God alone is the Source of all wisdom, truth, and insight. So if He hasn’t authorized us to part our lips, we’d better just sit down and stay silent.
Now let’s pretend for a second that we could press a button and make every preacher in the Church who doesn’t have God’s Authority to preach suddenly disappear. Wow, look at all those empty pulpits. Who knew the Church was so full of blowhards who are gabbing for God without His permission? Well, there it is. Now let’s press another button that makes every soul that God IS calling to preach suddenly glow. What a shock: we see a bunch of men AND women glowing. Yes, God does call both genders to preach, speak and prophesy on His behalf. He always has, and He always will. Does God make mistakes? Not hardly. The fact that we have women in our midst who feel the Spirit compelling them to preach proves that God does want some females speaking on His behalf. If we have a problem with that, then we need to ask God to show us why we’re so threatened by the idea of Him using women to accomplish His will.
Now then, let’s talk about how these women feel called to preach. Some of them are seeing visions of mixed gender audiences. They aren’t hearing the Holy Spirit warn them never to speak His truths to men. What a shocker: God can use women over men. Who has a problem with this? Men. Why? Because if we admit that God could call women to preach over men, they’d now have way more competition for those pulpits in the church. Up until now, the men have had the majority rule. Not only do they get to pull out the gender card in order to say why they should have first dibs on a pulpit, they also get to excuse themselves from ever having to listen to God speaking to them through the lips of a woman. “I don’t have to respond to any conviction I feel if the message came from a woman” is the unspoken rule we like to hide behind. Is God amused? Not hardly. We are accountable to respond to everything He says to us, regardless of the instrument He used to say it through. If He speaks through another man, a woman, or a rock, we will be held accountable. And if our pride is so puffed up that we just can’t stand being “told” by a woman, then it’s a pretty safe bet that God will arrange for us to have a nice long string of female preachers in our lives just to knock our egos down a few pegs. God is our Judge in eternity and “but You said it through a woman and I’m a man so I figured I didn’t have to listen” isn’t going to fly as an excuse.
So, given the fact that the Bible is filled with examples of God using women to correct men, teach men, rebuke men, and lead men, where do we get this crazy notion that He’d never have a woman today preach to men? Even the men in the Old Testament who lived in a culture that likened women to property knew better than to say God couldn’t speak through a woman. God sent His prophetesses in to the courts of kings and everyone lower down to teach people what God’s will was, show them the way to repentance and clarify Scriptures. Isn’t that what preachers do today? Of course it is. We play around with different titles in the Church, but many of our holy jobs come down to the same thing: delivering God’s messages to His people. We can call it preaching, prophesying, teaching or evangelizing, but in the end we’re all serving as God’s mouthpieces.
Why do we think that women should not preach over men? Because of one comment that Paul makes to Timothy about his personal style of organizing women in the church. Paul was a stickler about women being viewed as having authority over men. Why? Because Paul was trying to maintain some order in a society that was massively pro-men. As modern day believers, we fail to appreciate the chaos it was when Christ came along and established the New Covenant. Suddenly we are all declared to be equal in God’s eyes: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Gal. 3:28). Paul was the one that taught this truth as well, yet in his letter to Timothy he admits to encouraging major favoritism of men in church leadership. To understand Paul’s hypocritical behavior, we need to appreciate the position he is in. He’s trying to establish churches quickly, then move on to start new ones. He is introducing people to theological concepts which completely clash with their cultural values. If there are no slaves in Christ, then why shouldn’t all slaves rebel against their masters? Because God wants peace and order. He wants His people to endure situations that aren’t technically fair in order to preserve the peace. This is why Christians slaves are instructed to remain in their stations, yet to view themselves as working as unto the Lord, not just a human master. As souls slowly adjust to this radical new way of thinking, social order needs to be maintained. In the Jewish culture, it would have been scandalous and offensive for a woman to step out of her low social station and start bossing men about. If Paul had condoned such behavior in the new churches, they would have quickly collapsed. Some adherence to cultural norms was needed in order for the churches to survive. Later on, things could be adjusted as Christians had time to mature, but all of the New Testament epistles are addressing the very first stages. Paul is constantly having to write scolding letters to get people back in check about basic issues. “Stop flaunting your spiritual gifts. Stop disrupting the service just so you can show off how you can speak in tongues. Stop gossiping and chattering and distracting everyone. Stop pigging out at the Lord’s Table. Don’t let a bunch of lazy, carnal widows use up the money that is meant for those who are really trying to honor God in life.” These are the kinds of issues Paul is addressing.
In 1 Timothy, Paul is writing instructions to his young mentoree who he has left responsible for leading a flock all on his own. “Don’t let them give you flack because you’re so young,” Paul says in Chapter 4. In Chapter 2 he passes on some tried and true strategies for keeping order. “I don’t let women hold positions of authority over men. It’s not worth the mess it causes. I use Adam and Eve as an example to stave off arguments. I tell them Adam was created first, then I say that Eve was the one deceived by the serpent, not Adam.” This line of reasoning Paul is using is very weak. Adam was standing with Eve when she ate the fruit, he was just as rebellious as she was, and he was just as willing to taste the fruit. In God’s eyes, they were both guilty. Also, the fact that Eve was created after Adam has nothing to do with speaking or preaching or serving God. Not only is Paul’s logic ridiculous, he is also being a hypocrite, because in his letter to the church in Rome he switches sides and puts all the blame for sin onto Adam instead. In Romans 5:12, he says that “through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men.” Notice he doesn’t say “through one woman”. Though God blamed both Adam and Eve for sinning against Him, Paul feels free to put the blame onto Eve alone when he’s trying to keep rowdy women in check. Paul is a human and he uses human methods with the usual dose of human hypocrisy stirred in.
The first part of this section in 1 Timothy 2 makes it clear that Paul’s strategy has been born out of need to corral immature women who are lacking in godly character. He starts off his paragraph about how to handle women by saying, “I insist that they dress modestly. I tell them not to use a bunch of flashy jewelry and expensive clothing that will just call attention to themselves.” If we’re going to turn everything Paul says into some command from God, then we should be saying that wearing expensive jewelry or nice clothes is a sin. Braiding hair is also a sin, according to this chapter. But of course we don’t say these things are sins because we know that God doesn’t care how we are dressed, He looks at our hearts. Likewise, He doesn’t care about what genders we’re talking to, He cares about whether we’re following His instructions or not.
It’s so typical of us to play hypocritical games with the Bible. While we don’t say it’s evil for women to wear gold or pearls, we do say it’s evil for them to preach over men. One verse we feel free to take in context, while we turn another verse into some Divine command. This is pure foolishness on our part—yet another example of how we try to use the Bible to justify our carnal agenda. Men don’t want to have to listen to women, so they yank a verse out of context and act like “Thus says the Lord”.
We can’t say there is neither male nor female in Christ because we’re all one and then try to act like women turn into lepers the minute they stand up in a room of mixed company. God doesn’t have a problem with women speaking over men or men speaking over women. He does have a problem with arrogance, power trips and judging, though. And He has a strong dislike of scrawny humans telling Him what He can and can’t do, or who He can and can’t use.
Human beings are God’s property. He can do whatever He wants with whoever He wants whenever He wants. We need to stop trying to set boundaries around God. He didn’t give us the Bible so we could use it to try and tell Him how He has to behave. On the contrary, He gave us the Book to show us how He enjoys breaking His own rules. “Don’t eat unclean animals” becomes “Hey, Peter, have some unclean animals.” “I won’t forgive your sins unless you present the proper sacrifices” becomes “Forget about the sacrifices—Jesus took care of all that.” “Don’t ever expose your own nakedness” becomes “Hey, Isaiah, take off your clothes and let everyone see you walking around naked for three years.” “Any prophet who gives a prophecy in My Name which doesn’t come true is a false prophet” becomes “Never mind, Jonah, I’ve decided not to destroy Nineveh after all.” To understand the Bible, we must step farther back from it so we can see the big picture. Yet too often, we zoom in so close on one verse that we completely lose track of the main themes in Scripture. God doing whatever He wants whenever He wants with whoever He wants is a main theme. God making and breaking patterns is a main theme. God living above His own Law is a main theme. So even if we think that Paul’s statement to Timothy should be taken as a firm command for women not to preach—which it shouldn’t be—we still must leave room for God to create exceptions to His own rule. He always has, and He always will.
At the end of the day, how can you as an individual woman know for certain if God is alright with you preaching over men? It’s very simple: is that what He’s telling you to do? If it is, then you need to be ready to obey. Let HIM open the doors, for in our carnal Church, you’re going to get stonewalled by both arrogant and well-meaning men who simply aren’t willing to accept that God is as wild and unpredictable as He is. Your job is to be available to the Lord, without ever putting limits on what He might ask you to do. If He is telling you to preach over men, then obviously He doesn’t have a problem with it. Remember that you aren’t going to answer to a Book in eternity: you’re going to answer to God. If He is calling you to preach His messages to men and you refuse to do it, He’s not going to shrug off your rebellion just because you can quote 1 Timothy 2.

I have been working my way through dozens of Bible and theology questions which people have submitted through that “ask a question” area in the sidebar. Here is one that was sent in about whether or not women can preach in church.
Is it biblical for the woman to preach in the congregation?
Along with this question about whether or not it is wrong for a woman to preach, I will also briefly address the issue of women pastors.
This question has split some churches, which I find odd. Of all the things that can create division within the church, why is it the ones that only have a verse or two one way or the other which seem to be the most divisive? I suppose if there were scores of verses the issue would be more cut and dry, but when there are only a couple verses dealing with an issue, people are more likely to fight over it, especially when the verses are a little vague …
So let’s briefly look at some of the key passages which seem to address the issue of whether or not it is wrong for women to preach in church, and then I will provide one short and simple suggestion for how this whole issue can easily be dealt with.
Bible Passages about Women Preaching in Church
Though there are a variety of passages which people on both sides of the debate appeal to regarding whether or not it is okay for women to preach in church (e.g., various female “preachers” in the Old Testament like Miriam and Deborah and the female prophetesses in Acts 21:9, and the female apostle in Romans 16:7), two of the main texts in this debate about women preachers and female pastors are 1 Timothy 2:12 and 1 Corinthians 14:34.
Let us look briefly at each.
1 Timothy 2:12 and Women Preachers in Church
In 1 Timothy 2:11-12, Paul writes this:
Let a woman learn in silence and with all submission. And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence.
Initially, 1 Timothy 2:12 seems pretty clear, but with a little bit of study, it quickly becomes obvious that the text is not so clear after all.
First, there are numerous times in the book of Acts and in some of Paul’s other letters where women appear to be speaking in the gatherings of the church with the approval of others, so whatever Paul is saying here, it does not seem to be a rule which he himself universally followed (Acts 16:14-15; Acts 18:26).
Second, even if Paul himself did require all women to remain silent in church gatherings, there is some debate about whether Paul was describing his own preference and practice, or whether he was giving instructions for all churches everywhere throughout time to follow as well. That is, this verse in 1 Timothy was written to a specific person about a specific situation at a specific time. Does that it mean it can be universally applied? Paul even says, “I do not permit …” which is different than “you should not permit …” (though 1 Corinthians 14:34 does phrase it this way).
Most importantly, however, it is critical to understand what Paul means by the terms “silence and submission” and “teach or to have authority.” To understand this, we not only need to study the words in their contexts, but we also need to understand that cultural and historical background for what was going on among this group of believers in Ephesus where Timothy lived.
So, based on these three considerations, a text like 1 Timothy 2:12 is not so clear as some believe about the issue or women preaching in church. The same is true for 1 Corinthians 14:34.
1 Corinthians 14:34 and Women Preachers in Church
Paul says something similar in his letter to the Corinthians as he wrote in his letter to Timothy. 1 Corinthians 14:34 says this:
Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says.
We have a lot of similar issues with 1 Corinthians 14:34 as we have with 1 Timothy 2:12. There are numerous cultural, historical, grammatical, and contextual issues that must be researched if we are going to understand what Paul is saying and why.
One of the main differences here is that Paul does seem to be giving instructions to the church about what to do rather than just stating what he himself does (as with 1 Timothy 2:12 above). Yet even this does not mean we have a hard and fast rule for every church around the world and throughout time. After all, the Corinthians church was full of problems, and so not everything Paul writes to them can be applied to every church.
Furthermore, few churches who use 1 Corinthians 14:34 to defend the idea that it is wrong for women to preach in church also apply Paul’s instructions that women should wear head coverings (1 Corinthians 11:2-10).

The Simple Solution to Women Preaching in Church
Most of Christianity’s debates have a simple solution. Did you know that?
More often than not, when two (or more) groups of Christians are hotly debating an issue (and calling each other heretics in the process), it is because both groups have incorrectly framed the issue, and are arguing about something that should not be an issue at all.
This issue about whether it is wrong from women to preach in church or be a pastor is one of the greatest examples.
The simple solution to the problem is to recognize that the only groups who really argue about this issue are groups of Christians who meet in buildings on Sunday morning and have paid pastors who do most of the preaching.
This issue of whether or not women can preach in church and be pastors is almost never an issue when groups of believers meet in homes, in coffee shops, or at the local park to encourage one another, to edify one another, or to just hang out. In such organic gatherings of the church, it would be unthinkable to tell the women to remain silent. I have often learned more from the women in these gatherings than from the men.
Look, if you attend a traditional-style church service on Sunday morning, it is possible that you also attend a Sunday school class or a weeknight Bible study. Let me ask you, these gatherings also are part of the church. Does it ever occur to you to raise the question about whether or not women should remain silent in your Sunday school class or in your Wednesday night home group Bible study? Of course not! It’s unthinkable!
The only place this issue comes up today is in this strange way we have come to “do church” where everybody sits in rows and watches a performance on stage in which songs are sung and one person gives a 30-40 minute lecture.
(Which raises the question … songs also are a form of teaching, are they not? How many of these churches who condemn female pastors and women preachers have female worship leaders? I would be interested to know what the difference is between teaching through words put to music and teaching through words not put to music?)
So Is it Wrong for Women to Preach in Church?
In the debate about women preaching in church, the primary problem is not found in how we understand preaching or authority over men or what Paul means in 1 Timothy 2:12 or 1 Corinthains14:34. No, the problem is in how we define “church.”
This issue, which has caused so much division within the church, is based almost 100% on a faulty definition and understanding of “the church.” Once we understand what the church is, this debate about whether or not women can preach in church completely disappears and becomes a non-issue. (This is why a definition of the church is so critical … see my book Skeleton Church).
Sure, we still have to figure out why Paul wrote what he wrote To Timothy and to Corinth (for the churches in Ephesus and Corinth too were meeting in homes as well). But since nobody (rightfully so!) is going to tell women to remain silent in home groups and any other gathering of the church. Also, in such gatherings, there are almost never questions about who gets to be called “pastor.” (Or at least, there shouldn’t be.)
So here is my final answer: I believe women can speak and teach in church, because I understand the church to be the people of God who follow Jesus into the world, and so a gathering of the church occurs whenever and wherever believers gather, whether it is two or three around a dinner table, five or six in a living room, seven or eight at a coffee shop, or larger gatherings in some other building.
For those who think that it is wrong for women to preach in church, I would ask them this: “Is it wrong for women to speak in Sunday school or home group Bible studies?”
If not, why not? These also are gatherings of the church, are they not? Men are usually present at these gatherings, right? Why can women speak and teach in one context, but not in others (especially when this other large-group context is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible)?
Once we understand the definition of “church” the whole debate about whether or not it is wrong for women to preach in church or be a “pastor” fades away into insignificance. It becomes a non-issue.
“1 Timothy 2:1-15”
Now I’m going to address an issue that is long going.
This passage of scripture mainly at vers 11-15.
Many pastors take this to slam women preachers and try to use this as how it is wrong for women to preach and they teach that preaching is having authority over people and that’s not so. I will be breaking this scripture down and talking about what it really means.
First what is the definition of preaching?
Preaching is declaring God's truth in Jesus, to the praise of his name. This grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.
Preaching is a major means chosen by God and used in the early church to communicate the good news to people.
1 Timothy 2:1-15 KJV
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
This is Paul teaching Timothy how to teach a church how to pray and supplications and make intercessions for all men that also includes women in this setting of scripture.
[2] For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. [3] For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; [4] Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
Paul was telling Timothy to teach these people about the truth on how the church is to live and how to grow in God and how to teach new people how to live the righteous way.
[5] For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; [6] Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. [7] Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
Paul wrote to Timothy to tell who God was and there is one and to walk in the anointing of God with boldness and to preach the Gospel of Truth to all men.
[8] I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
It was important for Timothy to teach preach to lift up Holy Hands without wrath or doubting and to pray and talk to God and be slow to anger and let God work things out but to just lift up Holy Hands.
[9] In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; [10] But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
This is Paul telling Timothy to tell women to not wear goddy things that looks prideful but to be full of The Holy Ghost and completely sold out to God and to look Godly dress Godly and pray fast and do the good works of God.
[11] Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
This is where many preachers and churches take the stand against women preaching the Gospel first you got to understand what the Word of God is talking about here also the time of this setting.
This wasn’t talking to seasoned saints but new converts. Teaching women to be under subjection and respectful to the sermon that was being preached.
[12] But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
This scripture gets so mis interpreted and miss quoted many say suffer not a woman to teach nor usurp authority over “A Man” it’s (The Man) the man meaning the Husband the ruler of the home the woman is to be under his leadership and not over him. Also the woman must be submitted to her pastor as well as everyone male or female you got to have a pastor you submit to.
[13] For Adam was first formed, then Eve. [14] And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
Many take this scripture to prove the point that a woman cannot preach in church because the woman Eve was in transgression.
If that stands that would mean no matter how hard women pray repent receive the Holy Ghost and the blood of Christ will never wash away a women’s transgression because of Eves sin.
That’s a lie.
Of course Adam Came First and Eve Second and Eve had to submit and be under subjection to her husband that’s important but to use this saying a woman can’t preach because she’s putting themselves in authority over men is not true.
Prophet’s Evangelist Teachers Apostles have no Authority over anyone save their own wives.
Pastors have authority because God puts them over the church Pastors are the only one that has authority in the Five Fold Ministry. But Pastors are only over their own flock a Pastor has no Authority over Another Pastors Sheep.
The Bible says.
Romans 14:4-5 KJV Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. [5] One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
Women can preach but women are not over their husbands preaching is declaring or proclaiming the Gospel. Not authority over someone.
It’s very important for women to be under subjection to their Husbands and pray and live a Holy Godly Life.
[15] Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
God loves all of us and he has saved everyone from their transgressions when he was born and on the cross.
He chose a pure Virgin Mary to carry the child who was God Almighty im the Flesh.
If a woman can Carry Christ in her Womb she can spread the Gospel with her lips.
1 Timothy 2:1-15 Was a letter from Paul to Timothy to preach the Gospel and set the new church in order and how they were to live. Paul never told Timothy to stop Women from preaching but to teach them not to over rule their Husbands and to be under subjection to their husbands and to their Pastors and to really the Service and not boldly interrupt the the Pastor from preaching.

So many people want to go to this scripture to prove that a woman can’t preach the gospel and try to use this setting of scripture to proof a woman cannot teach men. This is a mis interpretation of scripture here is the truth about the first five verses.
Titus 2:1-5 KJV describes the characteristics and responsibilities of believers, particularly older men and women, and how they are to be examples to younger people, especially younger women. It emphasizes the importance of godliness in all aspects of life and emphasizes that living a godly life will not bring shame to the word of God.
Verse 1: "But speak thou the things which are meet for sound doctrine." This verse charges Titus to promote sound teachings and living.
Verse 2: "That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate; sound in faith, in love, in patience." This verse emphasizes that older men should be examples of sobriety, seriousness, self-control, and sound faith, love, and patience.
Verse 3: "The aged women likewise, that they be reverent in behaviour, not slanderers, nor hard drinkers, teachers of good things;" This verse instructs older women to live reverently, avoid slander and heavy drinking, and instead, teach and encourage others in good deeds.
Verse 4: "That they may teach the young women to be lovers of their husbands, lovers of their children;" This verse emphasizes that older women should train younger women to love their husbands and children.
Verse 5: "Discerns, pure, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed." This verse instructs younger women to be discerning, pure, good homemakers, kind, and obedient to their husbands, so that the word of God is not dishonored.
Lets breach it down further.

But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
Sound Doctrine is what’s written in the word of God not the high Ego or Pride of men that has a problem with being a control freak or a Domineering Person.

The key aspect of this behavior is the use of tactics to undermine a woman's voice and sense of agency, often making her feel powerless and unheard.
We got to rightly divid the Word and make sure we know what the Word is talking about.
[2] That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.
Let’s be blunt this scripture is talking about being sober not a drunken psychopath In Titus 2:2, "grave" means dignified, serious, and worthy of respect, particularly in the context of older men. The verse instructs older men to be sober-minded, dignified, and self-controlled. Keeping a good attitude and having sound Faith in Charity and being patient.
[3] The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
This simply stating that old women are to be of good behavior wisdom and being steadfast in Holiness in heart and by example being sober and not a drunken fool.
[4] That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
This is talking about teaching the young women to be ladies faithful not liars not fake not false but real and faithful to one man and not a drunken fool and to love and care for there children and be considerate to others and not selfish.
This scripture is not proof that a woman can’t preach the gospel to say it is is a lie.
[5] To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
This is teaching all women to be under subjection to their husbands and not a disobedient to them and trying to rule over them that’s not what God wants the women have to be under subjection to their husbands and submitted to them.
[6] Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.
This telling the young me. To be sober minded and exhort and encourage one another.
[7] In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
To be pure sound in the doctrine rightly dividing the Word of God and letting the Word of God change your life to fit the book and not change the Word to fit your Ego.
[8] Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.
Speaking sound right truth with passion and being careful with your words so corruptible men won’t have evil to speak of you.
[9] Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again;
Being obedient to your Pastor submitting to him and following him as he is following God and listening to his sound advice as he is praying in the Holy Ghost.
[10] Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
[11] For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, [12] Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
[13] Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

1 Corinthians 14:33-36 KJV
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. [34] Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. [35] And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. [36] What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?
People use this setting of verses trying to keep women from preaching Gods Word. A woman has the right to preach the Gospel. This is wrong setting of scripture to use as a woman can’t preach. They even say they can’t prophecy or nothing but be silent. In that case they cannot testify nor sing nor pray in the church she be better off staying at home.
Thats again the wrong way of interpreting scripture. If you read that whole chapter you find that the whole chapter was talking about prophecy the tongues of prophecy and the church there were many that would prophecy in tongues and there would be no interpreter of those tongues.
Also there were women that would loudly disrupt the service like new converts that had no understanding of the Word of God nor what was going on in the service. Also there were a group of women that would gather and gossip right in the middle of the church. Paul was instructing that was shameful and disrespectful to say there and rudely talk and blurt out questions loudly without listening and understanding what’s being done.
Paul also instructed for them to be silent and under subjection to the Authority of their Husbands and the law and to wait and ask questions at home to their own husbands for the understanding of what was going on.
We also need to understand this was to new converts and not seasoned saints. This was not by any means stating that a woman cannot preach to mean.
