And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the Lord unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them anymore.
Amos 8:2
Not to feel his presence, love, hope, and peace would be most dreadful! I couldn't imagine going through this life and not knowing the joy that he brings. Oh wait, I did that one time in my life. Lost, undone, forgotten, or sense of hope or life to be seen or felt. What I did feel was false security and hope that faded away like the day, just to start all over. Jesus, please pass my way!
Such emptiness, such a loss of hope, would be like drowning and none to help. Feeling every moment of the sinking with no help to be found.
And, to feel that the Lord is not coming, the only help that could be, and he's not coming!
The insecurity of hopelessness, such emptiness, and to think help is not coming "Why?"
What could I have done? What should I have done? While he is near, let me call him!
Lord, pass my way just one more time and let me not miss it!
