Mothers Day Out - Hennessey Church of Christ Hennessey church of Christ offers a Mothers Day Out program ages newborn - 5 years. Every Thursday at 8:30 a.m. This service is free to the public!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but there will not be a Mother’s Day Out Program for this year. We simply do not have enough willing to volunteers, and with Covid Delta Variant hitting young children so hard combined with the high risk status of the volunteers we do have, we decided this to be the best and safest route. We hope to return to serving the community in the future and appreciate everyone who trusted us with your kiddos these past 6 years.

We wanted all of our parents to know that a member of our church slipped and fell today at the building while we were having Mother’s Day Out. We called an ambulance to assist her and the children were introduced to paramedics, ambulances and community helpers. We always want to keep you informed In case they have questions and so they can better share their day with you. Please keep our friend in your prayers.

We had a few tears this morning, I think spring fever has hit but they quickly turned to smiles. The year is flying by!

Reminder✨Tomorrow 10/22 we will be going on a field trip to the Pumpkin Patch. We will travel by horse and wagon to the library for storytelling and selecting pumpkins to paint. Parents can follow in their own vehicle and transport their own children if they like. Please make sure you sign a permission form at drop off in the morning. Children will not be allowed to go without one. Thanks!!

Remember there is no Mother’s Day out this week due to Fall Break. We are aware Hennessey isn’t out till Friday but many of our staff have children and grandchildren in other systems that they care for when school is out. Waukomis starts Thursday and Enid starts fall break Wednesday as does OKC. We do not feel comfortable operating with a reduced staff as children having an enjoyable and safe experience is our main concern therefore we try to incorporate these breaks into our calendar. We look forward to seeing everyone back on the 22nd.
