A very blessed Holy Week from Henly Baptist Church to all of our neighbors and friends.
We will be hosting our annual Easter Celebration Banquet this Sunday, April 5th and want to let the community know that we would be honored to have you join us.
There will be fellowship, praise, thanks, and lots of great food.
Come celebrate this most special of days with us on Sunday after church at about 12:15 in the fellowship hall.
Bring your favorite side dish or dessert or just bring your appetite. There's always plenty to satisfy everyone.

Merry Christmas to all. In celebration of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, Henly Baptist Church will be having our annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Service and we would like to invite everyone to come worship with us.
The service will be in the Fellowship Hall, right behind the church, at 6:00 pm on Wednesday the 24th, Christmas Eve, and will last about an hour.
Please join us and get your Christmas Spirit boosted for the blessed next day.

Henly Baptist Church will be giving thanks at our annual Community Thanksgiving Luncheon this Sunday, The 23rd at 12:30pm in the Fellowship Hall.

Come worship with us for Thanksgiving and stay for a while to share food and fellowship with friends and neighbors. But you don't have to come to church to enjoy the luncheon. Just come on down.

Everyone is invited. Bring your favorite dish if you would like or just bring your appetite.

This Sunday, 04/20, Is Easter Sunday.
Henly Baptist Church will be having their Community covered dish luncheon. EVERYBODY in the Henly Area Is welcome.

The church will provide all the main courses and our members will bring their favorite side dishes, salads, desserts, etc. If you have a favorite dish you'd like to share, please bring it with you. If not, just come with a hearty appetite and we'll see you there.

We love our neighbors and want to take every opportunity to get to know you better.

Easter Sunday Worship Service begins at 11:00.
Lunch will be right after church (about 12:15) in the Fellowship Hall Right Behind the Sanctuary.
Please come. We'd love to see you.

We know that a number of our members have difficulty getting around so for the foreseeable future, we'll be posting a link to the message that has been uploaded to YouTube.

This week Pastor Poe delivers his message "Partnership in the gospel". This is also the church's 110th anniversary and we're having a double baptism on the grounds. Please watch this video and enjoy.

In 1914, Henly Baptist was formed. Today we celebrated the 110th Anniversary with a great service, memories, prayers, a double baptism, and a wonderful lunch...

Thoughts from Pastor Lonnie:
Recently, as I greeted a gentleman in the foyer of our intimate, rural congregation, I asked, “Are you behaving?” With a mischievous grin and a hand cupped to his ear the gentleman replied, “I’m sorry, I have trouble hearing on Sundays!” I laughed and responded with my own smile, “That is convenient!”

The truth is…It CAN be hard to hear on Sundays. CHURCH, for many, is a hard sell. Bad experiences, bad press, poor examples, unfamiliar rituals, uncomfortable clothes, lives that are too busy for anything extra, all of this and more turn people away from Sunday experiences. The church at Henly is a collection of ordinary folk with ordinary struggles, mostly from the surrounding neighborhood, bound together by community and a hunger for Jesus. Give us a chance, you might find you are among family.
