Thanks be to God for a morning of good work at the Sumner County Food Bank! They have such a wonderful operation set up there to help our neighbors in need. Next month, they will celebrate 11 years of service in our area.

A new blog has been posted, Why Church?

It’s a valid question, and many are asking and not arriving at an answer. For a restless season in my own life, I struggled to answer it…

For the last 10 months, Believers Baptist Fellowship has had no physical home in which to gather and worship as a church. We have existed only in "virtual" space, as the Covid-19 pandemic has prevented us from returning to our long-standing home of more than 20 years. Last Sunday, we had the great good fortune of meeting for the first time in our new physical home. In the midst of everything swirling in the news right now and in the midst of the on-going needs of our membership, I don't want this moment to pass us by of giving thanks and praise to God for his abundant provision for our little fellowship. This is the only picture I captured of last Sunday because there was much work that had to be done in preparation for the day, and there is much work still to be done (thanks be to God!), but I want to announce that BBF officially has a new home in Hendersonville and we are meeting for in-person worship (albeit with all the Covid-19 safety precautions)! God is so gracious to us, even so in times of trial. No doubt, at a later date, when we can all safely gather in one place, we will take the time to dedicate our new home to God and to our neighbors, but for now, we lift our voices in praise and thanksgiving to the One who holds all things together. "Having a place to go is home; having someone to love is family; having both is a blessing."
