We Need Conviction Again

There is something missing in much of modern Christianity, and many people can feel it.

We have more information than ever before. More sermons. More podcasts. More books. More social media content. Yet in many places there is less conviction, less repentance, and less transformation than previous generations experienced. We must ask the question…why?

The early Church was not built on entertainment. It was built on the presence of God. When God’s presence filled a room, people were confronted with their need for Him. Hearts were softened. Lives were changed. Sin was abandoned. Entire cities were impacted because ordinary people encountered an extraordinary God.

Today, we often seek comfort and entertainment more than conviction. We seek acceptance more than holiness. We seek popularity more than obedience.

But the Lord is calling His Church back.

Back to repentance. ✅

Back to prayer. ✅

Back to the fear of the Lord. ✅

Repentance is not a negative word. It is one of the most beautiful gifts God has given us. Repentance is simply turning away from what is destroying us and turning toward the One who loves us. It is the doorway to freedom, restoration, and breakthrough.

The Bible says:

“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” (Acts 3:19 NKJV)

Notice that refreshing follows repentance. The world tells us that repentance is restrictive, but Scripture reveals that repentance brings life.

We also need prayer meetings again where people refuse to leave unchanged.

Throughout church history, every major revival was preceded by people who were desperate for God. They prayed until heaven responded. They cried out until strongholds broke. They lingered in His presence until their hearts were transformed.

Many believers today are busy, distracted, and exhausted. Yet the answer has never changed. God’s people must return to the secret place. We must once again become people of prayer.

▪️The Church does not need another trend. We need the fire of God.

▪️The Church does not need another marketing strategy. We need the power of the Holy Spirit.

▪️The Church does not need more compromise. We need more courage.

Perhaps the greatest challenge facing believers today is the temptation to seek cultural acceptance instead of God’s approval.

The pressure to conform is intense. Society rewards compromise and often mocks biblical truth. But followers of Jesus were never called to blend in. We were called to stand apart.

The Apostle Paul wrote:

“For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.” (Galatians 1:10 NKJV)

Our goal is not to win the applause of culture. Our goal is to hear the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

This is a defining moment for the Church.

◾️Will we choose comfort or conviction?

◾️Popularity or purity?

◾️Compromise or obedience?

God is raising up a remnant in this hour. Men and women who refuse to bow to the spirit of the age. Believers who love truth. Believers who hunger for God’s presence. Believers who are willing to repent, pray, and stand firm regardless of the cost.

The Lord is calling His people back to biblical foundations.

Back to holiness.

Back to prayer.

Back to repentance.

Back to Him.

And when we return, we will discover that everything we have been searching for is found in His presence.🙏🙏🙏

The difference between an encounter and an experience.
👇👇👇

There is a vast difference between having an experience and having an encounter with God.

Many people have experiences. They attend a service, hear a message, feel emotional, or enjoy a powerful worship moment. While those things can be meaningful, an encounter with the living God is something altogether different.

An encounter with God leaves a permanent mark on a person’s life.

One of the clearest examples is found in Isaiah chapter 6. The prophet Isaiah is caught up into the throne room of heaven and sees the Lord seated upon His throne.

“Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips…” (Isaiah 6:5 NKJV)

The word translated “undone” in the Hebrew is “damah” (דָּמָה), which carries the meaning of being brought to silence, cut off, destroyed, or reduced to nothing. Isaiah was not simply impressed by God’s presence. He was shattered by it. Every illusion of self-sufficiency vanished. Every hidden flaw was exposed. Every ounce of pride melted away.

When Isaiah stood in the glory of a holy God, he immediately became aware of his own condition.

That is what happens when a man or woman truly encounters the Lord.

The modern church world often confuses excitement with transformation. We live in a time where gimmicks, entertainment, personalities, and emotional manipulation are sometimes substituted for the authentic presence of God. But no gimmick can produce what God’s glory produces.

When someone genuinely encounters Jesus Christ, they are forever changed.

Moses came down from the mountain with his face shining.

Paul encountered Jesus on the road to Damascus and went from persecutor to apostle.

Peter encountered the power of Christ and left everything behind to follow Him.

John fell at His feet “as dead” when he saw the glorified Christ.

Throughout Scripture, nobody walked away from a true encounter unchanged.

Why?

Because the presence of God exposes, purifies, and transforms.

A true encounter destroys our self-centered identity and replaces it with a Christ-centered identity. The things that once seemed important suddenly lose their grip. Sin loses its appeal. Worldly pursuits become secondary. The applause of man becomes insignificant compared to the approval of God.

The person who has encountered God is not interested in playing church.

They’re not looking for the next trend.

They’re not captivated by spiritual fads.

They’re not chasing personalities.

They have seen the King.

And once you’ve seen the King, nothing else satisfies.

This is why revival is never merely emotional excitement. Revival begins when people encounter the holiness of God. Repentance follows. Humility follows. Surrender follows. Obedience follows.

The result is not a temporary spiritual high.

The result is a transformed life.

The Apostle Paul said:

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV)

This is the evidence of an encounter. Not simply a raised hand. Not simply attendance. Not merely religious activity.

A new creation.

A new heart.

A new desire.

A new identity.

A new purpose.

The greatest need of this hour is not more programs, more entertainment, or more religious performances. The greatest need is for men and women to encounter the living God once again.

Because one moment in His presence can accomplish what years of striving never could.

When His glory fills the room, we become undone.

And in becoming undone, we finally become who He created us to b
