Gallatin / Hendersonville Aglow

Gallatin / Hendersonville Aglow Our Vision is: To Establish the Kingdom of God
We are not holding meetings at this time. Here you are free to worship the Savior in spirit and in truth.

Please contact Victoria Carmack at 931-261-9752 or Todd Lackey at 615-281-2383 for more information. Our Gallatin Aglow Community Lighthouse is a nondenominational, multicultural gathering of women and men who share the common bond of Jesus Christ. Because we follow the lead of the Holy Spirit, every gathering is unique. We are small enough that everyone can receive personal prayer and ministry. Y

et we are large enough that one can set back and be blessed by observing the Lord move in and through others.

This one spoke deeply to me today. 🤍

There have been times in my life when I thought being strong meant standing my ground, making sure I was understood, or saying what needed to be said. But the longer I walk with Jesus, the more He is teaching me that real strength can be incredibly gentle.

Jesus never compromised truth—but He also never needed to crush a wounded person to prove He was right.

And that makes me ask myself: When people encounter my strength, do they also encounter His heart?

Today’s devotion, “The Strength of Gentleness,” is an invitation to behold this beautiful part of Jesus and allow His gentleness to become visible in us.

🤍 Read Day 9 here:

As you read, ask Jesus one simple question:

“Lord, is there someone You want me to handle more gently?”

If someone comes to mind, don’t rush to fix, correct, or explain. Pray for them first. Listen well. Then ask Jesus to help you carry His heart before you carry your words.

And if this devotion speaks to you, share it with someone who may need the reminder that gentleness is not weakness.

Stay near Jesus, sweet friends.

Behold Him. Become like Him. Reflect Him. 🤍

This morning, I keep coming back to one simple thought:

Love looks like something.

The longer we abide with Jesus, the more His heart begins to change ours. And what He forms in the quiet place eventually begins to show up in the way we see, hear, serve, and love the people around us.

Today we're moving deeper into BECOME—not trying harder to act like Jesus, but staying close enough for His character to be formed in us.

❤️ Read today’s devotion — Love Looks Like Something:
https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1Rub1V5Wm5/

If this speaks to you, share it with someone who may need it today, and then ask Jesus one simple question:

“Who can I love well today?”

Let's keep choosing the journey:

ABIDE in Him.
REFLECT His heart.
BE who He is forming you to be.

One day, one yes, one person at a time. ❤️

Have you ever been in a season that felt more like destruction than transformation?

When everything around you seemed to be shaking, falling, or changing, did you wonder where God was in the middle of it?

Join us as we discover how that very shaking may well be the path to inner strength and peace.

Last month, we followed a tiny droplet on a journey as wild as any drop of water making its way to the Sea could expect. We discovered that true worship and total surrender transform us from feeling like grasshoppers to living like giants.

But transformation requires more than surrender. It requires revelation, the kind of truth that can only come through relationship with God.🔥

In September, we'll look even deeper at the transformation the Church so desperately needs as we compare a God-given dream with Psalm 29 and discover what happens when the voice of God confronts what we've always believed and forces us to choose what we will stand on.

Last month, we learned to surrender.
This month, we learn to stand.

“The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace.” Psalm 29:11

We can’t wait to worship, learn, pray, and grow together!

There is something about today’s devotion that feels like the perfect ending to our first week of REFLECT.

We’ve spent seven days learning to turn our eyes toward Jesus—to look again, linger, behold, and stay.

And today we see why it matters.

Moses didn’t come down the mountain trying to shine. He had simply been with God. His face carried the evidence of where he had been.

Friend, what if we stopped checking ourselves to see if we’re changing and simply kept looking at Jesus?

We don’t have to manufacture the reflection.
We just keep facing the Source.

Today’s devotion is Day 7 — His Face Changes Mine. I would love for you to sit with Jesus in this one.

And when you finish, I’d love for you to share in the comments:
What part of Jesus’ heart do you want to become more visible in your life?

Maybe it’s His patience. His gentleness. His courage. His mercy. His peace.

Name it—and then don’t strive to produce it.

Behold Him there. Stay near Him there. Trust the Holy Spirit to do the transforming.

Tomorrow we begin our next movement: BECOME. ❤️

Behold Him. Become like Him. Reflect Him.

There are things about Jesus we may never discover if we are always rushing away.

Today’s devotion is a gentle invitation to slow down—not out of obligation, but because He is worth knowing. Sometimes we have read the passage before, but when we linger, the Holy Spirit lets us see His heart in a way we’ve never seen before.

🤍 REFLECT • Day 6 — Stay Long Enough to See Him

Today, find one passage about Jesus and stay there a little longer. Read it slowly. Look for His heart before looking for your answer.

Then come back and share in the comments: What did you see in Jesus today?

What do you see when you see Jesus?

Sometimes we are so focused on becoming more like Him that we forget the beautiful first step: simply beholding Him.

His compassion. His courage. His holiness. His tenderness. His truth. His mercy.

Today in REFLECT — Day 5, I'm slowing down and asking, “Jesus, show me Yourself.” Because the more clearly we see Him, the more His life begins to shape what we reflect. 🤍

Come sit with me today. Open one story from the Gospels and, before asking what you should do, ask:

“Jesus, what do You want me to see about You?”

Then come back and share one word in the comments describing what you see in Him today.

Behold Him. Become like Him. Reflect Him.

This morning, I keep thinking about how easy it is to open the Word and immediately notice what needs to change in us.

But what if we looked a little longer?

What if, instead of stopping at what God reveals about us, we kept looking until we saw Jesus?

Today's REFLECT devotion reminded me that His Word isn't a mirror meant to shame us. It is an invitation to behold Him—and allow the Holy Spirit to form His likeness in us. ❤️
