✨ You’re Invited: Sharing the Light ✨

Friends, we would love for you to join us for a special night of worship, reflection, and celebration as we gather for “Sharing the Light”—a service honoring the ministry of Flourish and Providence Baptist Church.

This will be a meaningful time where we come together in prayer, song, and Scripture to celebrate what God has done and look ahead to what’s next. It’s a space for all—whether you’ve been part of this journey or are simply looking for a place to belong and connect.

This night will also mark the official beginning of Flourish stepping into its own identity as a ministry.

We will gather at Providence House next to the church from 6:30–7:15 PM for a potluck meal, then walk next door to Providence Baptist Church at 7:15 PM for the service.

Come as you are. Bring a friend. There is a place for you here.

Maria’s Closet — our free clothing closet for the Trans and Nonbinary community — will have a booth at Pride this year, and we couldn’t be more excited to connect with and support this beautiful part of our community. 💖

We’ll be sharing resources, information, encouragement, and lots of love along the way. Come stop by, say hello, and celebrate with us as we continue creating spaces of dignity, affirmation, and belonging for all. 🏳️‍⚧️✨

We are so excited to be heading to Youth Outright and watching this beautiful outreach continue to grow! 💜

It fills our hearts with joy to partner in creating a safe, affirming space where young people can feel seen, supported, and loved just as they are. Maria’s Closet is more than clothing — it’s about dignity, community, and reminding folks they belong.

We can’t wait to connect, serve, and build relationships together. The work is growing, the love is growing, and we’re grateful to be part of it! 🌈✨

Today I pause with a heavy heart as we remember the life and legacy of Rev. Jesse Jackson. His voice thundered for justice, his faith walked alongside the oppressed, and his courage helped bend the arc of history toward equality.

Because of leaders like him, many of us found the language to speak truth, the strength to stand up, and the hope to keep believing that justice and love can still prevail.

May we honor his life not only with our words, but with our continued commitment to justice, peace, and the beloved community he so deeply believed in.

With a grateful heart, I want to share that I’ve completed my three-year Journey Program with Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary.

My ordination will take place on February 15, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Providence Baptist Church in Hendersonville, followed by a shared meal with church family and friends. Fried chicken will be the main dish, with many hands bringing sides to share.

I’m deeply thankful for the prayers, encouragement, and quiet support that have carried me through this season. This moment reflects God’s faithfulness and the gift of community far more than anything I could have done on my own.

✨ A new year brings a new chapter for Maria’s Closet ✨

We’re pleased to announce that Maria’s Closet will be open this Saturday, January 3, 2026, from
12 PM to 3 PM 👗
The space is currently well stocked, with clothing available across a wide range of sizes and styles.

As we move into the new year, Maria’s Closet is also evolving in how it is led and shaped. The space is transitioning to being fully Trans-led, with leadership, planning, and decision-making guided by members of the Trans community. This shift reflects a commitment to ensuring the closet remains responsive, affirming, and grounded in lived experience.

Maria’s Closet exists to provide access to clothing in a setting that prioritizes dignity, respect, and community care. Everyone is welcome, and the space is designed to be safe, inclusive, and affirming.

We look forward to continuing this work and sharing it with the community next season. 🌈

Our Christmas get-together will be on 12/18/25 at 6:30 PM.
We will have a White Elephant gift exchange. Please bring a gift in the $10–$20 range or a regift from home. This gathering will be at my house instead of Providence House. I will send a reminder next week with my address on the Clearstream App we use for Flourish.
