Holy Family Anglican Church

Holy Family Anglican Church Holy Family is a member of the Anglican Church in North America and Anglican Diocese of the South

Anglican worship is a gathering of people with the unified intent of ascribing worth to God. We journey together through liturgy and common prayer into the culminating act of the Eucharist as Christ reveals himself to us through the breaking of bread. Liturgical worship acts as a catalyst to unify the voice of the people as we join with all of heaven to glorify the triune God.

Saturday Hymn
“What a Friend We Have in Jesus”

Heavenly Father,

What a privilege it is to know that we can bring everything to You. Our worries, our griefs, our hopes, and even the things we cannot put into words.

Teach us to turn to You first, to trust You more deeply, and to rest in the comfort of knowing that we never pray alone or unheard.

Thank You for being our faithful Friend.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Midweek Encouragement

The future can feel especially heavy when we try to carry it before we ever arrive there. We wonder how things will work out, what might change, and whether we will have what we need for whatever comes next.

But God is already present in every tomorrow we are worrying about today.

We may not know the next chapter, but we know the Author. And because He is faithful, we can loosen our grip on what we cannot control and trust Him with what we cannot yet see.

Today, give God the pages you keep trying to write for yourself. Trust Him with the story.

Heavenly Father,

As we begin this new week, help us to approach the work before us with willing and faithful hearts.

In the ordinary tasks, the difficult responsibilities, and even the work no one else notices, remind us that we are ultimately serving You.

Give us wisdom for our decisions, patience with one another, and strength when we grow weary. May the work of our hands honor You and bring good to those around us.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen

“This is my Father’s World”

Sometimes we need the simple reminder that the world still belongs to God.

When life feels noisy or uncertain, creation quietly tells another story. The morning light, birdsong, trees moving in the breeze, even the changing of the seasons remind us that God is present, His creation is still held in His hands, and His goodness surrounds us in ways we can easily overlook.

Perhaps today we can slow down long enough to notice. ♥️

This is our Father’s world. We can rest in the care of the One who made it.

Happy Wednesday,

I was thinking this morning, we often measure our days by what we accomplished, what changed, or what we can point to and call progress. But God’s work is often quieter than that.

Some days are simply for planting.

A kind word. A faithful prayer. A small act of obedience. Choosing patience when frustration would be easier. We may not see what those seeds become for a very long time, but that does not make the planting insignificant.

Scripture reminds us, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest.” (Galatians 6:9)

So today, don’t be discouraged if you cannot see the harvest yet. Keep planting what is good, and trust God with what grows. ✝️

Heavenly Father,

As we begin this new work week, we place everything we carry into Your hands. Thank You for the promise that we do not have to bear our burdens alone.

Go before us in every task, conversation, decision, and challenge. Give us wisdom when we are uncertain, patience when the days feel long, and strength when we grow weary.

Help us to work faithfully without carrying tomorrow’s worries today. May we remember throughout this week that You are with us, You sustain us, and You daily bear our burdens.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen

Happy Friday.

This is the perfect hymn to end our work week, because out hearts can so easily become tuned to worry, disappointment, or everything that remains undone. Yet this hymn gently turns us back toward the steady stream of God’s mercy.

His grace has been present in every moment, including the ones we did not understand. His mercies have not run dry. And even when life feels heavy, there is still reason to praise.

Today, may we ask God to retune our hearts, quieting the noise around us and helping us recognize His goodness once again.

Lord, tune our hearts to Your grace.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being our strength when we feel weary and our courage when the battles of life seem too great.

Remind us that we never face a single day alone. Go before us, stand beside us, and help us trust that even in the struggles we cannot overcome on our own, You are already at work.

Give us peace for today, strength for what lies ahead, and faith to place every battle into Your hands.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.

At the beginning on this new work week, I think we all can agree there are seasons when we work faithfully and wonder whether anything will come from our efforts. But, Deuteronomy 28:12 reminds us that God is the source of both provision and blessing.

Notice those beautiful words, “in season.” God’s provision does not always arrive according to our timetable, but it is never outside His care. We are called to keep tending what He has placed in our hands, trusting Him with the outcome.

Whatever work lies before you this week, whether at home, in your family, your church, or your workplace, offer it to God. Do the work faithfully, and leave the blessing in His hands.

May we trust the One who sends the rain, provides what we need, and brings fruit in its proper season.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your amazing grace, freely given and faithfully present in every season of our lives. When we wander, draw us back to You. When we cannot see the way ahead, open our eyes to Your truth.

As this week comes to a close, help us rest in the assurance that Your grace has carried us this far and will continue to lead us home.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen
