Kanuga Empowered Youth (KEY) is a vibrant, nationwide fellowship of youth, and adults who work with youth, centered at Kanuga Conference Center in Hendersonville, North Carolina. KEY Conferences are for those who seek empowerment, inspiration, and community. Our mission is to foster connection and leadership within the Church and in the world. KEY Conferences include the Youth Week conferences tha

t happen every June, including SYP (for high schoolers), JYP (for middle schoolers), and AWWWY (for adults who work with youth), as well as the Winterlight conference that happens every December (for high schoolers and adults who work with youth).

We all have such beautiful memories and relationships because of our time spent at Kanuga. We know as current and past Key Conference participants and staff that this is a Thin Place that has shaped the lives of many and now its our turn to give back. The theme of Winterlight 48 is, “I Will With God’s Help.” Throughout the week, participants will explore the meaning of the Episcopal baptismal covenant, focusing on the five questions regarding how we, as Christians, are called to live out our faith: with firm commitment and a reliance on God’s help. Through these questions and answers, participants will discuss what living into their faith means personally in all aspects of their lives.
