THIS is Why the First Step is the Most Difficult - Dr. Jason Baugh (Comeback Stories, Week 2)

Tell us if this has happened to you before: You decide that God is pushing you in a direction, you finally decide to step boldy into it, and things immediately go wrong. Does this mean it wasn't actually what God wanted? Well, maybe it means the enemy doesn't want what God wants.

In Week 2 of our study of Nehemiah in "Comeback Stories," we take a deep dive into one of the signature pages of the devil's playbook: resistance. When you are headed towards what God wants for you, the enemy will do anything to stop you at step one. The good news is that God has already won that battle time after time, and Nehemiah's case is no different.

Nehemiah saw ruin…but God saw redemption.

Ruin is not the end of your story either, God often calls us out of comfort and into purpose. Comfort can be the enemy of calling, oftentimes God will burden your heart for what He’s asking your hands to build. Will you look deeper?

The point of it all is to get to know people, have a heart that is open, looking for those in ruin, and do something about it!

God Will Make You Uncomfortable (here's why) - Dr. Jason Baugh

Do you feel like you've missed your calling? Are you struggling to find purpose in your day-to-day life? The number one thing that may be blocking you from what God has waiting for you is being too comfortable where you are. But don't worry, the Bible gives us a roadmap on how to embrace the uncomfortable and make an impact.

This week, we're kicking off a new series called "Comeback Stories," where we learn from the journey Nehemiah goes on to abandon his position of comfort to pursue the purpose God has put before him.

When Family Fights - Dr. Jason Baugh (Playing Church, Week 4)

A church without conflict doesn't exist. It's a place filled with people from different backgrounds, political affiliations, and even different specific beliefs. But God created the church knowing these differences would exist, and the Bible gives us a blueprint on how to overcome them to become more unified.

In the final week of "Playing Church," we dive into the teachings of Paul and Jesus himself on the importance of settling conflicts in the church the right way - and staying unified in Christ through it all.
