Today we remember those we have loved and lost in this life who served in the military. While none can compare to the matchless love of Jesus, yet we recognize these persons who have loved deeply in their service and who are loved deeply by beloved colleagues, family, and friends. For those who love enough that they are willing to lay down their lives for others, we give thanks.

No one has greater love than to give up one's life for one's friends. - John 15:13

May 2024 - ! Praying Together with the 31-Day Prayer Challenge

You are invited to join a prayer movement. From May 1st through the 31st Bellshire United Methodist Church and Beech Grove United Methodist Church are inviting you to pray with us in partnership with Cross Vocational and the leadership of our pastor, Rev. Linda Furtado.

This 31-Day Prayer Challenge is about working together to engage in a tangible practice of daily prayer. We will walk this walk every day with many of our needs in mind including: the larger body of Christ, collective minds for Christ, passions of the faithful, needs of each individual, and love of neighbor and the needs of others within and beyond our churches and ministry contexts.

This community is just $2 (per month) Why not free? It's just enough investment to put a tiny bit of skin in the game, enough cost to keep out the spammers,  yet not cost prohibitive to keep people who really want some help from being able to participate.

A mind focused on God's love in the fullest sense possible will seek out ways to love oneself, love others, and love God. Maybe this is what it is to discern the next steps, goals, and the good life. as well as meaningfulness overall. Look for love where God has love for you, and then you will find yourself at peace in the confidence that thoughts bring. Not knowing all that is right and good, but knowing God, who can always help and guide. Whenever we think we are right, God's love can steer us toward different and better ways. Whenever we think we are wrong, God's love can teach and lead us closer to divine care and wisdom. Whether or not we are right, God's justifying grace can find a way to shape us in love so that the future is filled with joy, bright, and beautiful beyond our imagination.
