in Wilson Hall of First Baptist Church of Hendersonville, located at 106 Bluegrass Commons Blvd, Hendersonville, TN 37075. In short, Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-Centered, 12-step recovery program for anyone struggling with hurts, pains, or addictions of any kind. Maybe you've heard the stereotype that recovery groups are for "those" kinds of people, those struggling with alcohol and drug addict
ion. Yes, CR is for those individuals. However, CR covers so much more. Are you struggling in a marriage? Divorced? Grieving over the loss of a loved one, a pet, a job, well, any loss? Do you have past or current abuse or trauma in your life? Do you carry guilt from a past abortion? Is there anger, anxiety, or unforgiveness in your life? Or do you just have an annoying habit that you want to overcome? If you answered yes to any of those situations, then CR was created with you in mind. CR is for anyone with any hurt, hang-up, or habit in his or her life. Every Tuesday evening, CR at First Baptist meets in Wilson Hall.
- 5:45-6:15 - Freedom Cafe - meal, soft drink, water and coffee
- 6:30-7:30 - Large Group - Praise & Worship, with Teaching or Testimony
- 7:30-8:30 - Small Group Open Sharing
- 8:30-9:00 - Cross Talk Cafe - dessert, soft drink, water and coffee
For small groups (which are gender-specific), attendees have the choice of attending a chemical dependency or a mixed issues group. Those who have struggled or currently struggle with alcohol, drug dependency legal or illegal, ni****ne, or any other chemical generally attend the chemical dependency group. Mixed issues range from A to Z, anything from past abuse, marital problems, codependency, problems with children, well, anything really. Speaking of children, we do have child care available, for infants through 5th grade, from 6:30 through 8:20 sharp! If you can't be available on Tuesday evening, we’d be happy to refer you to any of 20 other CR groups within 20 minutes of Hendersonville that meet on other evenings which may be more convenient to your schedule. What’s different about Celebrate Recovery from most of the other 12-step recovery groups, such as AA, NA, OA, etc.? We are Christ-centered recognizing Jesus Christ as the one true path to finding healing. We use the traditional 12-steps used by other recovery groups plus supporting Scriptures. In addition, we have 8 principles drawn from the Beatitudes. We also want you to know that CR is a safe place. Each week, we remind everyone of our pledge to confidentiality and anonymity – What’s said at CR, stays there. Additionally, CR is not a place for fixing each other; rather, it’s a place to receive and show love and encouragement. Ultimately, CR’s goals are about each attendee finding his or her own recovery through the grace, power, and love of Jesus Christ with the support of the rest of the CR Family, and then encouraging others in their recovery.
