🙌 WHAT AN INCREDIBLE DAY IN GOD’S HOUSE! 🙌
Our 5th Family Service was truly a celebration of what happens when the whole family of God comes together! ❤️ From our youngest to our adults, we worshiped, served, ministered, and celebrated Jesus together!

🎶 South Kids opened our service by quoting their monthly Scripture and leading us in their praise song of the month, “Washed.” Then our Adult Worship Team joined them as we lifted our voices together with “God, I’m Just Grateful.”

🔥 Avery & Raegan Pierce, two of our middle school students, continued leading us into worship through “Honey in the Rock,” followed by Gentry Pearce leading us in worship with “Goodness of God.” What a beautiful picture of multiple generations using their gifts to glorify God!

🎭 Our South Middle/Youth students also shared a powerful drama, “Sin Chair,” reminding us of the reality of sin and the freedom we have through Jesus.

📖 Tony Tart, our Middle School Director, brought a powerful message that challenged and encouraged us to draw closer to Jesus, live holy lives, and to share our faith boldly. He also reminded us that Jesus came to save ALL! Don't stop praying for family and friends!

And then came the greatest celebration of all…
❤️ 8 people surrendered their lives to Jesus!
💧 7 people were baptized!
🙌 5 people joined our church family as new members!

THIS is why we do what we do. This is why we worship. This is why we serve. This is why we invest in the next generation. And this is why we keep pointing people to Jesus!

God is doing marvelous things in the life of South Henderson PH Church, and we are so grateful to be a part of what He is doing! 🔥
To God be ALL the glory! 🙌

Sermon: "For All..." (Tony Tart-Middle School Director)

Dear SHPH Church,

I hope this finds you still stirred by last Sunday's message about standing in the gap—praying, interceding, and helping folks out of that "chair of sin" into freedom.

Last Sunday was out 5th Family Service. Tony unpacked the drama by our Student Ministry where the chair represented sin — and watched how temptation, distraction, partying, and even judgment pull people down, while one obedient young man, Paxton, knelt and interceded until one by one folks were set free. We looked at 1 Timothy 4 to remind our kids (and all of us) that godliness matters more than physical training, and at 1 Timothy 2 that worship includes petitions, intercession, and thanksgiving for all people. I shared how spiritual warfare is real, how Jesus is the one mediator for all, and testified to God's power when many of you prayed and my dad came off the ventilator and later put his faith in Christ. We closed with James 5 — the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective — and a clear call to be obedient and stand in the gap for those who don't yet know Jesus.

Tony asked, are you willing this week to step in and intercede — call that family member, pray for that coworker, and don't let convenience or fear keep you from speaking up. Don't buy the lie that it's pointless or that God has already decided everything for us; get on your knees, be the example of Christ, and trust God to move when we obey Him.

Blessings,
Pastor Mark and the SHPH Church Team
