💛 There's something sweet about fellowship—friends who pray with you, encourage you, and remind you of God's faithfulness. The support is sweet, and together we find strength for every season. "Carry each other's burdens..." — Galatians 6:2

Home Safe… Forever Changed

By God’s grace, our entire South Africa team has arrived home safely. Thank you for your faithful prayers, encouragement, and support. The Lord answered in countless ways, and we are deeply grateful.

As we reflect on the past two weeks, one truth stands above all others: God is faithful. We witnessed His hand at work through hundreds of children eager to hear about Jesus, through the passionate faith of South African youth leaders, and through the breathtaking beauty of His creation. From Kids Camp to the African bush, our hearts were continually drawn to stand in awe of our Creator, our Mighty God, and our Everlasting Father.

We return home changed. Many on our team have shared how the Lord used this trip to bring personal revival, renewed passion for His Word, deeper dependence on Him, and a greater love for His people. Our prayer is that what God began in South Africa will continue long after the journey has ended.

May we all continue to hunger and thirst to know Him more, love Him more, and serve Him more—with all our heart, all our soul, all our mind, and all our strength.

As we close this chapter, we do so with the confidence of God’s promise:

“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” — Philippians 1:6 (NKJV)

And with hearts full of gratitude, we echo the words of the psalmist:

“Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, But to Your name give glory, Because of Your mercy, Because of Your truth.” — Psalm 115:1 (NKJV)

To our great God be all the glory for every child reached, every life touched, every relationship strengthened, and every heart transformed. Soli Deo Gloria.

Well it’s Sunday and it’s time to head home! We had our last safari this morning and eat a great breakfast and started to head to the airport.

It is pretty neat when people ask you what and where you’ve been only to find out that they love the lord the same as the 6 from Colorado, 10 from New Jersey and the 350 at the camp.

Driving down the highway looking out the window it’s not hard to see all the glory that God did for us and see why God loves his people.

Sometimes you come across certain situations that typically would make you scream, cus and holler! Especially when you find out that your flight was delayed and when you get to your transfer flight you land at 10:18 and
The flight your supposed to be on leaves at 10:12, major dilemma!!!!

When you become a Christian things like that seem to just role off your shoulders and you think God is good and he has a reason you had to change your connecting flight.

Then you find out! The people that check your bags are Christian’s and when you talk to them everything seems to make sense why your flight got messed up and you hay God wanted you to go through it.

What a test to see how you would handle it but when you are on Gods side everything always works out and to tell you the truth it’s usually for the better.

Signing off from Africa and soon to be back to all our loved p ones!

God is forever!

The end of camp has come and with it a mixed bag of emotions. Joy for what our God has been doing in the life’s of the kids, and in us. A bit of sadness knowing that we are leaving the camp behind and some of the loving relationships we made throughout the week. Saying goodbye is never easy, but all things must come to an end, except God who has no end.

Thankfully, we had this last day to fellowship together as a team and to see God’s glorious creation! Jody and TeeKay packed us all up into the buckey and taxi, and drove us to Ka’ingo. We were greeted by our lovely game ranger, Izette. She even remembered a few from the team from last year’s mission and was excited to see them back! Isn’t God great how He lined it up that the same ranger was here again, giving us the chance to continue to build that friendship? He is always working in our lives!

We had a delicious breakfast served by the kindest people, a reoccurring theme here in South Africa. Then we headed out in the Land Rover to explore God’s creation. Getting to see all the different plants, animals, and landscape here really points to how powerful God is. He has no limits to His creativity. Honestly, it’s so moving to see how endless His creative abilities are.

While we were surrounded by the beauty of the world, we were also surrounded by people we have grown really close to. Hearing each other’s testimonies, sharing rooms with each other, and seeing everyone come out of their shell and be changed by God is so special.

God was at work before we came, preparing the way for us. He was at work while we were here and He is preparing things for us to do when we get back. We have so much work to do in God’s kingdom and we’ve only just begun!

Please pray for us that we will continue to follow God’s will for our lives and that we can remember that as much as God is needed in South Africa, He is just as needed in the United States. Please pray that we will take everything we learned back home and continue to spread the gospel as disciples of the Living God.

“Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.”
I John 4:17

🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸

Today we thank God for 250 years of freedom and independence. May we never take these blessings for granted.

Our prayer is that our nation would turn from its sinful ways, seek God’s face, and walk in His truth. May we lift high the banner of Christ so that all of America—and the world—may see Him.

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” — Psalm 33:12

So Precious is the Presence of the LORD!

Well, we have completed the fifth day of our camp. We have brought the kids through the character and nature of God, that he is the Creator, knows everything, is our Refuge, is Love and, today, is forever. What is being planted in these kids is God‘s precious things being planted in God‘s precious vessels. I find that when I sit and listen to what’s being taught to these children also edifies me greatly. These things are for all of us and not just these children. We overcomplicate things and lose that pure devotion and simplicity of the love of our Lord.

When I watch these kids listen and respond to the things of God and his salvation for us I find that we are indeed made according to his image and likeness in that these kids hear and understand and absorb and love these things quickly and without question - and openly. It’s like we are designed to hear these words, but when we get older, we get all banged up and lose our hearing, or at least our hearing gets dull. Not so with these kids!

i’ve had two young leaders helping me with my group of kids. The older is 19. His name is Rile (pronounced “relay”) and the younger is 14 and her name is Lerato, which means love. My leaders helping me and myself are all doing this for the first time, so we are kind of being dropped into the river and told to learn to swim. However, the Lord sent us all here, so the Lord is showing us what to do, and it’s been a great blessing. We named our kids after fruits and vegetables right off the bat so that we can keep track of their names, because the names here are kinda hard to remember for me. I struggle a bit to remember names at home much less names in the Sapedi language. We thought it was clever at first, but it caused me to learn their actual names, a little bit slower than otherwise would’ve happened. But it all worked out in the end. The kids in my group opened up and some of them got really close. They will just sit on your lap, wrap their arms around you and give you hugs - they crave affection. Seems that they don’t get much normally. But loving on this kids and letting them love back seals the seeds that are being planted in them. It is amazing how God does things. His ways are always the best!

When I surveyed the whole camp and what was going on with all the other groups and all that around me, I was struck that this is a sanctuary, a protected sanctuary, where God is doing special work in the people here. These kids are absorbing God‘s word, His ways and His heart like dry sponges dropped in a pool of water. The youth that help here, who are doing most of the work, where previously the young kids that heard the word of the Lord and received Him. Now they are working with joy to plant seeds in the generation below them, and I am confident that this these youth and the kids will ultimately bring God‘s word upward to the rest of the population, starting with their parents and their siblings. It seems that it doesn’t matter how dark a place can get, God will bring his word and His glory in through the children. That is always available in every nation and place on this earth.

This also brings me to how the South Africans worship the Lord. I was expecting a little more energy when they worshiped here, but I didn’t realize how much more. Boy, when the South Africans worship the Lord, they mean it! They give everything they have. It is so incredibly refreshing. I love it. These people will give King David a run for his money when it comes to dancing for the Lord!

All this now brings me to our Redemption group. I have been able to participate and witness bringing and receiving blessings to and from the youth and the kids here. And that is in itself amazing. But I see great work being done by the Lord here in those of us who have come here. Two of us in particular are utterly transformed. And I mean, UTTERLY transformed. I know we were told in the beginning that it’s not about us and that is true, but the Lord made one of us a superstar among the people here. I don’t need to give names because we’re all gonna find out who they are soon. But that they all now love saying Yeehaw is a small hint. I’ve always known that the Lord will work both sides of a ministry, but what I witnessed here has blown my mind. Our Lord never fails to exceedingly surpass our expectations.
