This Memorial Day, we give thanks for the courageous men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. We honor their memory with gratitude, humility, and prayer.

At Flat Rock United Methodist Church, we remember the words of Jesus:
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” — Matthew 5:9

As a church family, we pray for those who have lost loved ones in military service, for veterans and active-duty personnel, and for peace in our communities and throughout the world.

May this Memorial Day be more than a long weekend — may it be a sacred reminder of sacrifice, service, and the enduring hope we find in Christ.

We invite you to join us this Sunday as we worship together and give thanks for God’s faithfulness and grace.

Join us for a meaningful evening of community, compassion, and connection at Flat Rock United Methodist Church ❤️

On Wednesday, May 6 at 6 PM, we will gather in the fellowship hall to hear from Pastor Janice Hargrove of Life Line Outreach, Inc. as she shares about the incredible work being done to support women and children in need right here in our community.

Life Line Outreach provides a safe haven for those experiencing homelessness by offering emergency housing, food, clothing, counseling, and ongoing support. This is a powerful opportunity to learn how we can come together and make a real difference.

Whether you’re looking to get involved, serve, or simply learn more—everyone is welcome!

We are honored to welcome Daryl Jones from Community Partners of Hope, who will be sharing how we can make a real difference in the lives of those in need right here in our community.

This is more than just a meeting—it’s an opportunity to be part of something meaningful. Together, we’ll learn how to support both the men’s shelter and the transitional living ministry, Hope House, and discover simple, impactful ways we can serve.
