Are you living a comfortable life when Christ has called you to a fruitful one? This past Sunday, Pastor Craig walked us through the church of Laodicea in Revelation 3 and delivered a word that cuts straight to the heart of the American Christian experience.

Jesus told the church at Laodicea He would rather they be hot or cold than lukewarm -- because a lukewarm life brings no value to the kingdom. Comfort can quietly pull us away from the very Savior who gave everything for us.

The good news? Jesus is not here to condemn. He is standing at the door and knocking (Revelation 3:20), ready to come in and make everything right.

No reserves. No retreats. No regrets.

Have a great Thursday!

Staff has their annual 2027 Planning Day today. Would you pray for them as they pray, seek out the Lord’s direction, and talk about all things next year?

Special thanks to Gyce, Ashley, and Haley for opening their home and providing snacks for their day.

Both Calvary and TBI are eternally thankful for Bro. Steve, Sis. Monty, and their dedication to the Kingdom!

From the Desk of the President/CEO:

Serving Texas Baptist Institute for over 50 years has been a journey of learning, hard work, and together building a great school to equip, advance, and fulfill. I have decided to step down as the President and CEO of Texas Baptist Institute. This is a very difficult decision, and it has not been made lightly. After many discussions with my family, close friends, and advisors, I have come to realize that I need to take time for my own personal health. I will be assuming the role of President Emeritus until the end of the 2026-2027 school year. I will still advise when called upon, but I will be stepping away from administrative duties. I know Texas Baptist Institute is on the right track and I trust the Administration, Staff, and Board to continue its success into the future. God has greatly blessed me during my years at TBI, and I would ask you to continue to pray for the school and for my family and me.

President Emeritus, Texas Baptist Institute and Seminary

Seven years. That is how long William Carey preached in India before seeing his first convert. Seven years of little strength, big faithfulness, and a God who never stopped working.

This past Sunday, we opened Revelation 3 and heard Jesus speak directly to a small, worn-down church in Philadelphia. His message was simple and powerful: I have opened a door that no one can shut. He promised to handle the opposition, carry His people through the trial, and make them pillars in His temple forever.

Your present reality does not determine your spiritual reality. Whatever season you are walking through right now, Jesus is the one opening doors, protecting the path, and walking ahead of you. All He asks is that you hold fast to Him.

Have a great Wednesday!
