Today, our Cathedral family gathered to celebrate the Feast of the Universal Exaltation of the Precious and Life-Giving Cross, lifting our eyes and hearts to the sign of Christ’s victory, sacrificial love, and hope for the world. As we venerate the Holy Cross, we are reminded that the path to Resurrection always passes through the Cross.

On this blessed feast day, we also offer our love and prayers for our beloved Σχολή, Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. For generations, Holy Cross has formed faithful clergy, theologians, and lay leaders who carry the light of Christ and the treasures of our Orthodox faith into the world. May the Lord continue to strengthen and guide all who study, teach, and serve there. Through the power of the Holy Cross, may we all be renewed in faith, courage, and love. Χρόνια Πολλά! ☦️

Today, on the 25th anniversary of September 11, our cathedral community gathered in prayerful remembrance of all those who lost their lives, and in gratitude for the countless heroes whose courage and sacrifice continue to inspire us. We especially remembered the beloved members of our own community who were taken from us that day and whose memories remain woven into the life of our parish family.

Following the memorial service, we gathered in fellowship to share stories, reflect on cherished memories, and honor lives that will never be forgotten. As we remembered the tragedy of that day, we also witnessed the strength of faith, love, and community that continues to endure twenty-five years later. We pray for the repose of all the victims, give thanks for the heroes who served so selflessly, and entrust them all to God’s eternal care.

Αἰωνία ἡ μνήμη. May their memory be eternal.

We celebrate the birthday of our beloved Presvytera Marilyn Magoulias who, along with Fr Nicholas of blessed memory, served the Cathedral community for over 46 years. Many blessings to her, daughter Carolyn, and her whole family who celebrates today. May God bless Presvytera with many more years!
