Throne of Grace Bible Church International's Beliefs:

The God-Head - We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (The Blessed Trinity). The three Persons are equal in essence while differing in functions and personalities. (Exodus 20:2-3; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:18-20; I Corinthians 8:6; II Corinthians 13:14; I John 5:7.) Jesus Christ - We believe th

at Jesus Christ is Lord, the eternal Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross and through His death redeemed us by His physical resurrection from the dead. We believe that Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father. (Isaiah 7:14; 9:6-7;Matthew 28:1-7; Luke 1:35; John 1:1-4, 14, 18; Acts; 1:9-11; Romans 3:2-25; Romans 5:8-10; 8:34; I Corinthians 15:4-9; Ephesians 1:7; I Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 1:1-3; 4:14-16; 6:19-20; 7:24; 9:24; I John 2:1-2.) Holy Spirit - We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person. Jesus Christ has sent the Holy Spirit to believers to be our comforter and to reveal Christ to us. Without the Holy Spirit we cannot worship Jesus. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the supernatural agent of the new birth through conviction, sanctification, and regeneration. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells and empowers Christian believers and distributes spiritual gifts to all Christian believers. (John 3:5; 16:13; Acts 1:4-8; 2:1-4; 5:3; Romans 8:9; 12:6-8; I Corinthians 3:16; 6: 11, 19; 12:1-14; 14:11; Galatians 4:6; Ephesians 1:13-14; 2:20-22; 4:11-13; 5:18; Hebrews 2:3-4). The Holy Scriptures (The Holy Bible) - We believe that the sixty-six (66) books of the Holy Bible are divinely inspired by God. The Scriptures are the infallible and complete word of God and are used as the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21; II Peter 1:19-21; Jude v. 3.) State of Man - We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but through Adam’s sin (original sin), man fell, became separated from God and inherited a sinful nature. Thereby, man incurred three deaths – physical, spiritual and eternal death. (Genesis 1:25-27; 3:1-19; Romans 3:10-13, 22-23; 5:12, 19; Ephesians 2:1-3, 12.) Salvation - We believe that God has given man the gift of salvation only through his grace. Salvation is the deliverance from sin, hell, spiritual death, eternal death, and all the evil that the devil has brought in the world. (Isaiah 53:4-11; John 3:5-8, 14-18; 14:6; II Corinthians 5:14-21; Galatians 2:16; I Timothy 4:10; I John 2:1-2.) Way to Salvation - We believe that God has given man the gift of salvation possible through the shedding of the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. We believe that a person must receive Jesus Christ as His only personal Savior to become born again. We believe that only Jesus can save because He is the way the truth and the life. Once saved you are renewed in spirit and have become a new creature. (John 1:12-13; 3:3-18; Acts 4:12; 16:31; Romans 4:5; Galatians 2:16; Ephesians 1:17; 2:8, 9; Philippians 3:4-9; Titus 3:5; I Peter 1:18, 19.) Christian Walk - We believe all Christian believers should live a life worthy of emulation; a life like Christ Jesus who is our perfect example. Believers should be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. (Psalms 1:1-6; Matthew 5:1-48; 6:1-8; John 15:1-16; I Corinthians 6:1-10, 14-18; 7:1; Galatians 5:16-23; Ephesians 4:17-19, 22-24; I Peter 5:5-9.)

Topic: You Are Not Alone
Text: Acts 6:8-15

Dearly beloved, with greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I write to you today giving thanks to our Lord who in His infinite mercies has brought us into the year, 2026. Happy New Year!

Suffice it to say that currently, the eyes of the world are on Nigeria due to the insecurity that has bedeviled this once promising nation. On top of the general insecurity problem is the well-known and documented genocide against Christians in Nigeria perpetuated by different Islamic groups of which some of the members of these groups are Nigerians while some others are not. It is also disheartening that in the midst of orchestrated and well-documented demonic campaigns against Christians by jihadists, there are people, even self-professed Christians, pastors and bishops who deny the obvious. This crop of people, for political and financial gains, are possessed with the spirit of Esau, have decided to sell their souls to Satan, continue to lie, gaslight, deceive, manipulate, distort, deny, and deflect. What such people are doing is - judging from their antics - that they are both directly and indirectly giving support, aid, and comfort to those who are killing Christians in Nigeria. This is because you cannot treat and cure any disease you refuse to diagnose. They are selling their brothers and sisters in Christ at the altar of political and financial expediency. Make no mistake about it. God will surely judge them. God is able! Help is on the way! All the people terrorizing Nigerians must be brought to book in one way or the other.

But you may ask yourself, why the cover-up? The reason is not far-fetched. Satan does not want anybody to be aware of whatever he’s doing because he knows that he can be stopped in his tracks if people are aware of his wicked actions. Unfortunately, the Nigerian government is part of the cover-up machine. Cover-up has deadly consequences. The voices of Babylon (the mainstream media) are equally part of the cover-up industrial complex. God is not asleep. He’s fully aware of what’s going on in Nigeria. “Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep” (Psalm 121:4). He will surely protect His church.

Christmas is a time of celebration. It is wise to remember the reason for the season - The Birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, even as testified by John the Baptist, “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1:29).

You are on a divine assignment on earth. Therefore, follow the leading of the Spirit of God so you can fulfill your divine destiny. Christ fulfilled His on earth, so should you.

The Holy Scripture in Proverbs 18:16 says that "A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men". God the Creator is the giver of gifts, talents, or skills. Yes, He also gives us the opportunities and wherewithal to develop our gifts, talents, and skills.

These can catapult us to higher levels of achievements in our different fields of human endeavors. As Christians and preachers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, He gives us the anointing of the Holy Spirit that destroys every yoke. "And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing". - Isaiah 10:27. God is always ready to make use of us.

However, with divine elevation comes responsibility and accountability. Anointing gifts, talents, skills and divine favor can take you up, but only integrity, humility and accountability will keep you there. 1 Corinthians 10:12 says "Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall". We should always rely on Jesus Christ, "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." - Hebrews 12:2. Don't be carried away. Keep your eyes on Jesus!

But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. - Deuteronomy 8:18.

Welcome to 2025. The topic before us today being the first day of the year, 2025 is “The Power to Make Wealth.” In Deuteronomy 8:17, God said, “And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.” The Lord was reminding His people not to get puffed up when they begin to see the abundance that God is enabling them to have and enjoy. This warning is very crucial. After all, it is quite tempting and easy to forget that, “For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring” (Acts 17:28).

Beloved, the truth is that God wants to bless you and change the trajectory of your life, northward. "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue." (2 Peter 1:3). And remember that there is no sorrow in the blessings of God. "The blessing of the Lord, it taketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow in it" (Proverbs 10:22). Our God is Jehovah Jireh! It is in His nature to bless. "Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever" (Psalm 112:3).

Lastly, in the year 2025, may "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen" (2 Corinthians 13:14). May the Lord give you the power to make wealth. You can do it! Happy New Year!

The Old Testament scriptures are filled with the promises of the future birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And specifically, it said that He would be born in Bethlehem of Judah. Micah 5:2 says, "But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall He come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting." Bethlehem means "House of Bread." Remember that Jesus is the Bread of Life.

With this in mind, don't you think that Joseph and Mary should have journeyed to Bethlehem from Nazareth of Galilee when they saw that it was getting to the time for Mary to give birth to Jesus as the prophecy said? But they didn't. The question is, why not?

It took the decree of Caesar Augustus (Luke 2:1-7), the adopted son of Julius Caesar who reigned from 29 B.C. - 14 A.D., for everybody in his empire to journey to their place of birth in a census for the purpose of taxation for Joseph and Mary to travel to Bethlehem at that time. This certainly reveals to us how God uses events and circumstances in our lives to bring about His purpose for our lives and the world in general. How many times have you ignored the word of God? The eternal truth is that, "For as the heavens are higher then the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts" (Isaiah 55:9). May the purpose of God in your life come to pass in Jesus Name. It is often said by many that "in the midst of circumstances, God is making breakthroughs." May your breakthroughs come suddenly. Christ was born that we might be born-again. Merry Christmas!

It is easy to see the fault in other people without first examining our own selves and dealing with our own faults first. Romans 2:1 says, "Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things."

We should focus more on our own faults and sincerely deal with them before we can rightly talk about other people's errors. If not, we end up being hypocrites. Jesus says, "And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye" (Matthew 7:3-5).

The Apostle Paul says in Romans 2:3, "And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?"

May God help us to examine ourselves and judge our own thoughts and actions. We must be right in the sight of God before we can speak about others.

Ladies and gentlemen, my message to you today is that no matter how highly placed you are in this world or how rich or wealthy you are, it is a very good thing to have friends. I mean good friends. Don't live a life of isolation.

Proverbs 18:24 says, "A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother." Only selfish people are the ones who don't want any friends. Friendship is a very good thing. Strive to maintain good friendship with people. Friendship is healthy!

In all, remember that Jesus Christ is your best Friend. He said, "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen" (Matthew 28:20).

God loves you!

Do you feel overwhelmed with your daily activities? Are you distressed, burdened, confused, sad, hopeless, depressed, stuck, doubtful, lonely and without direction? Relax your mind! This is because, "And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof." (Revelation 5:5). The King of Glory who was the only one worthy to open the book, has also prevailed against our circumstances.

It's time to sing "...with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing" (Revelation 5:12).

And may you be among those who will say, "...Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever" (Revelation 5:13).

May the Lord meet you at the point of your needs.

In the book of Exodus 20:3, God told the children of Israel, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." And in verses 4 and 5, God spoke about the abominable nature of having any graven images. "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me."

Whenever anybody places anyone or anything above God, such person or thing becomes a god to such an individual. Nothing and nobody should be placed on the same level with God, either. Because that would mean having another god besides Jehovah Adonai. God will not accept that. Christ must be first and the only God that we worship and serve. We cannot combine Him with other gods.

Let Jesus be the first and the last of your life.

King Nebuchadnezzar, who was the absolute monarch of the Kingdom of Babylon, had a dream that even his magicians and astrologers were unable to tell him what his dream was (since he had forgotten it), nor were they able to interpret his dream even if he had remembered it. It was only by the Spirit of God that Daniel, the servant of God, told him his dream and the interpretation thereof (Daniel 4:20-26).

It would be worthy of note that in verse 27 of Daniel 4, Daniel, the man of God, counseled King Nebuchadnezzar to repent so that the judgment of God would not come upon him, "Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquillity." HOWEVER, he ignored the counsel of the godly.

Instead of repenting, his pride grew bigger. "At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon. The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?" (Daniel 4:29-30).

The result of his pride was instant judgment. His big empire could not save him from God's judgment (Daniel 4:31-33). The king was humbled. If we fail to humble ourselves, God will humble us. James 4:6 says, "But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble." "Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up" (James 4:10).

May God give us the spirit of humility.

Putting confidence in human beings will always lead to frustration. There's little that anybody can do for you. This does not mean that God doesn't use people to be of help to you in one way or the other. But human beings will most times disappoint you. Sometimes it may not even be due to their own fault, but because we humans are so limited in every way. On the other hand, God is not limited at all. Psalms 118:8 says, " It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man."

I'm aware you know that politicians and governments always make promises they cannot keep. Trusting them is a waste of time. The high and mighty want you to trust them. Don't fall for it. Put your trust and confidence in the Lord. "It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes" (Psalm 118:9).

Vote for Jesus! He will never fail you. Jesus is Lord!

Is there anybody who is digging a pit of destruction or failure for you? The digger will fall into that pit and not you. Have you found yourself digging a pit of self-destruction for yourself? Please stop digging and drop the shovel. The Holy Scripture says that, "Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him" (Proverbs 26:27).

It is wise to know and acknowledge when things are not going in the right direction, then turn around in the name of Jesus towards the right direction. May the Lord bring you out of every pit in Jesus Name.
