In Matthew 26, Pastor Gary takes us into the house of Simon the l***r, where Mary of Bethany did something unforgettable. She poured out an incredibly costly flask of fragrant oil on Jesus’ head. To the disciples, it looked like a waste. But to Jesus, it was a beautiful, extravagant act of devotion ahead of His burial.

Mary recognized a truth we often forget: our time on this earth gives us unique opportunities that we won’t have for eternity.

Once we get to Heaven, we will never get to step out in faith to witness to a broken world, sacrifice our resources for the Kingdom, or comfort someone in the name of Jesus again. Heaven is for rejoicing—but Earth is our short window to advance the Kingdom.

The night will include worship led by the Joshua Springs worship team, fellowship with young adults from around SoCal, and BBQ.

In Matthew 23, Jesus uses some of His sharpest words for the religious leaders. But if you look closer, you see a broken heart. He wasn’t trying to tear them down; He was trying to pull them back from the edge.

Pastor Gary reminds us that the most loving thing you can do for someone on a path to destruction is to tell them the truth. Like a mother hen spreading her wings to protect her chicks from a fire, Jesus was ready to give His life for the very people rejecting Him.

Don't let religion keep you from the relationship He’s offering.

A new month brings a fresh opportunity to walk closely with the Lord and live out our faith daily.

This message is from our very own Pastor Gary and he reminds us of Romans 12:2—
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

We’re called to more than just saying we’re Christians—we’re called to live it. In the way we love, in how we respond, in the choices we make when no one is watching.

So as we step into May, let’s ask ourselves:
Is there fruit?

Is our life marked by self-control, patience, kindness, and love? Are we allowing God to transform us from the inside out?

Let this be a month of real growth, real surrender, and real transformation🦋
