This Sunday, I'm sharing the story of a man who interrupted my busy day of ministry and taught me more about the grace of God than I ever learned in seminary.

We'll sit with a woman in Matthew's Gospel that everyone in the room wanted to send away. She would not go — and what she says to Jesus might be the whole sermon in a single sentence.

Come and see why the person we're quick to send away might be the one God sends to us.

This Sunday is one of my favorite Sundays of the whole year — the Blessing of the Backpacks! 🎒 Bring your kids, grandkids, and neighbors as we pray over our students, teachers, administrators, bus drivers, and cafeteria workers for a safe and fruitful school year.

We'll also open the 14th chapter of Matthew — the passage where Jesus walks on water. Wherever you find yourself right now, there's a word for you in the gospel.

And after worship, stay for our back-to-school fellowship meal — a taco bar in the Fellowship Hall! 🌮
