Jesus teaches us a love rooted in grace, not scorekeeping. When we stop asking, “What will I get in return?” we become free to recognize the dignity of others and love them without conditions.

Lyndon Harris, priest in charge of St. Paul's Chapel, NY City, across from the collapsed World Trade Center towers. For 8 Months following the terrorist attacks, he helped run a ministry that provided food, counseling, and respite to emergency personnel and workers at Ground Zero.
