There have been a lot of questions regarding the situation at the church today. A man came into the parking lot this morning. He had a gun and was threatening su***de. The individuals who were on campus called 911 and went into lock down mode.

When the police arrived, they spoke with the individual for several hours, trying to get him to hand over the weapon.

At one point they brought in a special vehicle that enabled our people to safely get out of the building.

Some time later, the individual pointed the weapon at the officers. Shots were fired and the individual died.

The parking lot is being treated as a crime scene, with an investigation ongoing. Due to that, the church will be closed all day Tuesday.

Please pray for the family of the man who died, and for all others who are impacted by these sad events.
