Just wanted my church family in McRae-Helena to know how much I miss them--Bible studies, worship, and fellowship! My thoughts and prayers are with you always.

It was a wonderful time had by all! Bishop Alexander gave a stirring homily.

On Saturday and Sunday, September 3/4, St. Innocent Orthodox Church celebrated 20 years since our founding in Macon, GA. His Grace Bishop Alexander was with us for the celebration. On Saturday we started with a Moleben of Thanksgiving followed by an informal get together and finished with Great Vespers. On Sunday we served the Hierarchial Liturgy. Three readers were tonsured and a Diocesan Gromata was given. It was a beautiful weekend. May God continue to grow and establish our humble church!

Today we had a visit from Mark Dorogy and Father Theophan Buck at St. Innocents Orthodox Church in Macon, GA. We enjoyed the service as well as the food after the service. The fellowship as always is the best part! We also had a visitor Pastor Sapp who was a delightful guest. God bless all and have a great weekend.

This has really encouraged me!

We had a glorious Liturgy today! Michael D***s led the choir and Father James officiated with Reader Stephen Cravey reading the Epistle. Afterwards there was a huge feast to be had with roasted pork loin, potatoes and green beans, corn, meat loaf, home made ravioli, cake, and last but not least sweet ice tea! We missed Sue who could not be there due to family illness.

Yesterday we had a lively Bible study with 7 members in attendance and one visitor Larry McGhee. We discussed interesting topics about church doctrine and how most are backed up with scripture. Please pray for member Lia Oglesby who was in a major car accident with her niece Bonnie. Pray for Father James who is ill at this time as well as Ken Cravey who is also ill. Cole is much better and has fully recovered at this point from his gout attack.
