We are starting our first Wednesday meal and bible study, I am excited and nervous. It is a more personal setting. Need lots of prayers, and also I am cooking.

Our church is going strong and the reason is the people are seeking the vision God has for us and a Pastor who is humbly seeking to do God's will and not his own. Thank you Lord.

Our service Sunday was a blessing and our choir sang like angels. Their selection was the Hymn of Promise, one of my favorite. Our topic was the woman of Samaria spreading the word of Jesus to her village. You can share the message of God with a smile or a kind word and when asked where it came from, then you can share your story of faith. Yours in Christ, Bro. Mark

We are preparing for lent around here and we are hoping to have a wonderful Ash Wednesday service. There is a lot of excitement and a sense of expectation around here. I like to think it is us listening to God and moving more toward God's purpose. We have a lot of good speakers and arists to help us celebrate. Come join us Wednesday's at noon, it might lift your spirits.

Our service Sunday was a blessing to all involved. Our Interim Choir Director is doing a wonderful job and Ms. Emma Lee is enjoying being a part of the choir instead of leading. The new Sunday School program is doing well and growing at a good rate. God is blessing and we are grateful. Bro Mark

We had a special visitor this Sunday, our District Superintendent Dennis Spence. He stayed for potluck, I never knew a preacher to turn down good home cooking, and it was a blessing to have him with us. We talked about how the world sees Christians and how we hope they see us as forgiven people, not people acting perfect. God Bless.

In the UMC tradition, ministers do not work in a vacuum but they add to what was already done and know things will be done after they are gone. For Carolyn's hard work, thank you. I will try to write on this page more often and hope to hear from the friends of Helena FUMC.

Dear friends of Helena FUMC, I am trying to get into writing on the page and checking messages, so be patient. I know many of you were friends of Carolyn and respected her as a person and as a minister. I do too. The ministries she had started and carried on from past ministers are an important part of Helena FUMC, I will continue these to the best of my abilities.
