✨ When God Changes the Plans ✨

Have you ever carefully planned your life, only to watch it unfold in a completely different direction? If so, you’re not alone. Anyone who has lived long enough has experienced what feels like a divine change of plans.

There’s an old saying: ā€œIf you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans.ā€ While we can make our own plans, Scripture reminds us that God’s ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. Even when we can’t see it, He’s already in our tomorrow, making the crooked places straight.

In the moment, we may not understand why certain doors close or why our path changes. But that’s when we can stand on His promises. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that God’s plans are to prosper us and not to harm us, to give us hope and a future.

When life doesn’t go according to your plan, trust that it’s still going according to His. His purpose will always prevail, and His plan has always been the better one.

ā€œKnowing about God isn’t the same as knowing God.ā€

The real danger isn’t faith itself—it’s when faith becomes routine without relationship. It’s possible to attend, serve, sing, and even study Scripture, yet still miss the heart of it: a living connection with the One it all points to.

Jesus didn’t come to build empty religion or checklists. He came to bring real life, real change, and real connection with God. Not distance. Not performance. Not obligation—but relationship that transforms the inside first.

That’s why He said He came to save, not condemn.

ā€œFor God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.ā€ — John 3:17

And it’s why God’s patience is described as mercy, not delay.

ā€œThe Lord is patient… not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.ā€ — 2 Peter 3:9

At the center of it all is an invitation—not just to know about Him, but to actually walk with Him, daily, honestly, & personally.

Today we celebrate Juneteenth—a day that commemorates freedom, resilience, hope, and the enduring pursuit of justice.

As we reflect on the significance of June 19, 1865, we honor the sacrifices of those who came before us and celebrate the progress that has been made while continuing to pray and work toward a future marked by unity, equality, and love.

May we remember that true freedom is found in Christ, who calls us to love one another and walk together in grace.

ā€œSo if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.ā€ — John 8:36

šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Today, we pray for the families of the fallen, give thanks for the freedoms we enjoy, and reflect on the greatest love of all — laying down one’s life for others. ā¤ļø

ā€œGreater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.ā€ — John 15:13

Loved While We Were Still Broken (Romans 5:8)

There are moments in life when we feel unworthy of love because of our mistakes, failures, and shortcomings. We often think we have to ā€œget it togetherā€ before coming to God. But Romans 5:8 reminds us that God didn’t wait for us to become perfect before loving us. He loved us at our worst.

The cross is the greatest demonstration of unconditional love the world has ever seen. Jesus willingly gave His life for us while we were still lost, still struggling, and still imperfect. That means God’s love is not based on performance — it’s based on grace.

Today, rest in the truth that you are deeply loved by God. No failure is too great, no past too messy, and no heart too far gone for His mercy. The same love that saved you is the same love that sustains you every day.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for loving me even when I didn’t deserve it. Help me to live each day confident in Your grace and to share that same love with others. Amen.
