There was a burglary at St. Paul's Tues night (Aug 2) at 9:43 PM.

Minimal damage; nothing seems to have been taken.

Since we have a security system with cameras, we were notified immediately by Alarm Engineering, as was the Sheriff's Dept. The lower glass panel of the big window behind the altar was broken and pushed into the room. We have a pix of intruder (courtesy of one of our security cameras). There is blood splatter and fingerprints on outside of the building. Sheriff's Dept thinks intruder was spooked by the "siren" on the alarm system.

Window World put in our new windows in 2014, and there is a guarantee that if they get broken (for any reason) they will be replaced at no charge to us (just have to wait for replacement, because that pane is a special order size).

Tomorrow is a "Fifth" Sunday. Holy Eucharist will be a joint service at 10 AM at St. Philip's in Quantico.
A "potluck" picnic will be held afterwards at Carol & Phil Tilghman's. Bring a side dish to share; meat and drinks already provided. Bring a "folding" chair. See you there!
