Opinions did not keep Jesus from fulfilling destiny
One of the things many people struggle with is the opinions that others have about them. It can keep them from fulfilling their destiny in life. I find it interesting that Jesus made himself of no reputation. What people thought about him did not concern him. He had a mission to fulfill, and walked in obedience to the Father. At times he was misunderstood, and hated yet he never strayed from the path that he had chosen. He chose to do the will of the Father, not his own. Those who knew him struggled with understanding many of the things he said, and left him. Even his own disciples were basically shocked by some of his statements, yet stayed with him because they knew he was the Son of God. Jesus fulfills his earthly mission by dying on the cross, and many thought it was over. Yet in three days he rose again. Then as he shared with the disciples they got new understanding, new revelation. They were told to pray and wait for 50 days for the Holy Ghost to come. In Acts on the day of Pentecost that happened, The Holy Spirit came down and indwelled the believers. Suddenly people understood things Jesus had said. His mission fulfilled. Without Penetecost and the Holy Spirit coming to live in their lives a lot of what Jesus said would not have been revealed to us. For Jesus taught Spiritual things and natural man can not understand these things without the Spirit.-Dan Moore.

Life is not always easy. There are times when it can be very difficult. The decisions we make have a profound effect on our lives. God wants us to be blessed and in good health. From the very beginning God chose man to have a helpmate, a woman to help meet the needs of a family. When the family falls apart then each part of it suffers resulting in each person not fully fulfilling their called forth destiny by God. God doesn't want this to happen. It is a result of our own choosing to have it our way not his. God is abundant in giving us second, third and a infinite number of chances to change, but he leaves that choice up to us. Each day we have a new opportunity to follow God or choose to walk our own path without him. The choice is ours to choose whom we will serve.-Dan Moore.

What is success?
We live in a society where you are judged by what you have. Money is looked at as the ultimate sign of a person's wealth. Those who go into politics are almost always very wealthy or gain much wealth soon after going into office. Both political parties in the United States claim they are trying to help the average citizen yet most of what they do is motivated in gaining more personally for themselves. With people living busy lives many are misinformed on what people truly believe.
We live in a time where both parties plain outright do not tell the truth very often. Many times key words are used to make things appear to be different than what things are actually. The foolish and uninformed many times follow these people thinking they are making good choices. But those who are wise seek out wisdom. The bible is very clear on seeking out wisdom and the importance of it. I find that to be very true for I feel blessed beyond measure because I have sought to follow God. Sure I make mistakes like everyone but there is a peace in my life that I know that I know God is there when I need him. At times I have seen instant physical healings in my life and felt I was protected from death in several major accidents.
If we are to measure success a person must be happy in what they do and have peace. Just having money does not always make you happy or give you peace. For me a relationship with God is worth more than any money or thing I can have. In Mark 8: 36-38 it says: "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" So what is success? For me success is doing whatever God tells me to do. I serve a good God that unlike politicians always loves me and has my best interest in heart. Therefore I am happy and at peace.-Dan Moore.

I am touched when I see people helping others when they do not have to. I am reminded of the scripture “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” which is took from the sermon on the mount by Jesus. When we look at Jesus he was God’s gift of love to the world as seen in John 3:16 “For God so “loved” the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” You see God loves us and he enjoys doing good things for us to encourage us.
We are in the Christmas season and I have been watching u-tube movies. I tend to like some of the black movies put out at the u-tube site. Two of my romantic favorites are “Secret Santa” and “Jingle Bells” both starring Tatyana Ali who used to play on the fresh prince tv show.. They are well produced with great music in the background and an interesting story. I also like some of the “own” movies put out by Oprah Winfrey. All of these are good clean movies. “Baking Christmas” by “OWN” is a really good one showing how a family put in competion still show love to each other. It to also has a great music background. Good music is key to having a good movie. If you are interested in Christmas movies u-tube has many of them including free movies from hallmark and lifetime. God wants you to be an overcomer
When you are young sometimes people put labels on you that you aren’t going to amount to anything. That you are destined for failure, and there is nothing you can do about it, no matter how hard you try. Some times we believe the lie and it can keep us from accomplishing all that God has planned for us. God says in the word that he gives us a future and a hope. He also says greater is he that lives inside you than he who lives in the world. We are told we can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth us. We fail to realize the devil out right lies. He comes to kill, to steal, and destroy. God comes so that we may have life and have life abundantly. Your past does not decide your future. The devil wants us to believe the lie, to embrace it so that we do not achieve God’s plans for us.
God is not looking at everything you do to condemn you but instead wants us to be saved by believing in Jesus Christ. The word saved in Greek is sozo. It includes salvation, healing, and deliverance. Jesus came to set the captive free. When he came he talked about the Kingdom of God. This is a Kingdom that includes total deliverance from the kingdom of darkness, freedom from the grip of sin, healing of disease, and restoring what was lost in the fall of mankind.
The church has preached a weak gospel, one that has a message of forgiveness only which is great but God has so much more for us. On the cross Jesus took back everything lost by Adam. It is so much more than just forgiveness. Why? Because he loves us, Jesus died for us willingly obeying his father’s will. He wants us to succeed, to overcome, and to be more than a conqueror, to be the head and not the tail.
On the day of Pentecost the Holy Ghost came down to indwell believers know as the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. This was a fulfillment of what Jesus had told them in scripture. So why is that important. God wanted us to be victorious over the devil. He knew we needed power to do that. When we are baptized we are endued with that power where the gifts of the Holy Spirit talked about in 1 Corinthians would be available to us. Jesus walked in all these gifts and he wants us to be able to move in them too.
If we want to see victory in our life on a consistent basis we need the Holy Ghost so we have the power he can give us. God wants you to see victories and not be controlled by the devils lies. Yes Jesus died even while we yet were in sin. Do not miss out on all he has for you!-Dan Moore.

I am at a time in my life where I feel a strong calling to serve the Lord. God seems to be using me to write encouragement and to prayer for others. That has brought some real challenges. I get messaged constantly from those hurting and going through hard times, and I try to reach out in compassion. The problem comes when you do that people want to go on and on in general chit chat like you have all day to spend with them, or hound you for finances which I do not have in abundance. Sadly some would go on page after page till I had to cut them off in order to reach others and to get rest. I understand now better Jesus, who had the same problem, he had to get away at times just to pray. You can become weary in well doing. People can cause you to lose your joy in doing things. I refuse to let that happen in my life, because if I do I will not be ministering out of love and compassion. I do not want burn out. Too many pastors are overworked and just give up. Many hardly speak to alone to individuals to mature them because of the time it takes. I want to help people but there are limits I have to set, I well be 68 years old this year and have many others things I am dealing with besides facebook. Yes, I am setting boundaries to how much time I spend with people. I do not like having to do that. I hope people understand and keep specific on their prayer need that is where I feel called. Bible knowledge challenge= I have met several people lately who believe that if someone would try to kill them they wouldn't fight back, they would just let them do it. This could for instance be someone who broke into their house or a Moslem attack, or whatever. They think that this is what God wants them to do. Wondering if anyone has scriptures that would back this up or come against believing this. I am not looking here for what you think or believe but for scriptures that might deal with this issue. I know Amish and some religions are kind are against war.
