PRIDE Performance: A Le***an Belle Tells happening at St. Peter's on Friday, 12 June at 6:30pm. Tickets can be purchased here: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/pride-performance-a-lesbian-belle-tells
In this time of great uncertainty, one way to combat anxiety is through humorous storytelling. Elizabeth McCain developed a humorous one-woman play based on her real life events. The material of McCain’s play resembles talented writers’ styles such as Dorothy Allison’s honesty, Julia Reed’s Southern sass and irreverence, and David Sedaris’s satirical wit.
A Le***an Belle Tells affirms and validates the LGBTQ+ community and beyond, with universal themes of self-discovery, acceptance, family struggles, forgiveness, loss, and love. McCain spins stories with a beating heart and dispenses a powerful dose of medicine for the soul to heal just about anything.
St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Small Town CT Pride, and the Coalition on Diversity & Equity (CoDE) are proud to present this program as part of Hebron's 2026 Pride Weekend. In addition to this program, Ms. McCain will also lead a story-telling workshop as part of the Small Town Pride celebration on Saturday, June 13 from 1-3pm at AHM Youth and Family Services, 25 Pendleton Drive, Hebron.
Many thanks to the Hebron Greater Together Community Fund of the Greater Hartford Gives Foundation for its support.
