Greetings and Salutations Friends!
Who's on first" What's on second? I don't know's on third. If those questions sound familiar to you, you have obviously heard the famous Abbott and Costello routine.
If you have led a sheltered life and have never had the chance to enjoy their comedy, I hope you go to Youtube and search for them. I think you'll really enjoy them.
They won't be in church tomorrow in person, but their "Who's On First?" comedy sketch will be there to try and help explain the difficult concept of the Trinity - God Three in One.
They may be successful, maybe not, but it should provide at least a bit of humor to the attempt to help us understand this confusing theology.
Seeing you in person would be a blessing, but If you can't be with us in person, you can still worship with us by clicking on the link below. We will begin at 10:00 am Central Time tomorrow.

Greetings and Salutations Friends!
When we camp, we always have a fire going. And when I say a fire, I mean a FIRE. I like BIG fires. I often tell people that if you can't see my fire from the moon, it isn't big enough.
And while I've gotten safer over time, moving from gas to kerosene as a fire starter, that also takes away the big kaboom! But, even my biggest "kaboom!" can't compare to God's big "kaboom!" we're celebrating tomorrow.
Tomorrow is Pentecost, also described as the birth of "The Church." And if you're wondering what fires and "kabooms" has to due with Pentecost, well, tune in tomorrow for the answer.
Oh, and don't forget....WEAR RED!

Greetings and Salutations Friends!
When asked to name a cute or cuddly animal, few people pick the lion, which makes perfect sense that Paul uses the lion as an analogy for Satan.
He states the devil prowls around like a hungry lion, seeking those he might devour. Lions are not cute and cuddly..........and neither is Satan.
He is out to get us. He wants to make a meal of us. He wants to destroy us. And he will do whatever it takes to do so. But, like the lion isn't "king of the jungle", Satan doesn't have that kind of power, either.

Greetings and Salutations Friends!
Give yourself some time to think about how you would answer this question. What group of people suffer the most? Women? Men?
How about garbage collectors? Maybe those born with some type of disability? Depending on your definition of suffering, those we are celebrating tomorrow may have a claim to the top spot.
While it is true we all suffer at times and in different ways, it seems that moms often have a corner on the market when it comes to suffering.
So, whether you agree or not, .let's show moms some love because they could probably use it. And don't forget to wish them a "Happy Mother's Day"!

Greetings and Salutations Friends!
Floating on clouds. Wings. Playing a harp. Do those three items bring forth any image? Okay, how about pearly gates and St. Peter?
I'm pretty sure the image/thought of heaven has crossed your mind now. And, just like the images of the animals heading into the ark 2 by 2 are inaccurate (more on that some other time), those images we have of heaven are also not quite the way it is.
So, that begs the question, "What is heaven like?" Well, we do not know for certain because the Bible only gives us bits and pieces, mostly from Revelation.
Just a few of the things we can glean from God's word: We know there are trees and water. We will recognize each other. There will be no more death. We will live there forever.
Having never been there, I cannot say with any certainty just what heaven is going to be like. But, I am confident that it will be awesome!
Tomorrow is also Communion Sunday and we invite you to join with us as we celebrate and remember the One who paid our way into heaven, as long as we believe.
There will also be a SHORT Congregational Meeting following worship to elect our 2026 Nominating Committee.
