"Traveling in the Wrong Lane"
Isaiah 43:19, Rom. 7:15, Matt. 26:41

I have been driving over 60 years, all over the country. On dirt roads, four lanes and even Interstates, there is one act that really annoys me especially on four lanes and interstates. Why is it when you are driving the speed limit in the outside lane and someone is just pushing you to speed up. Then all of a sudden they can't wait on you to break the speed limit for them so they shift over to the inside lane. They speed along making car move over to the right lane out of their way. Then all of a sudden they realize they have to make a right turn but they can't do it from the inside lane. Now they have to get the cars they pushed and passed to let them back in the outside right lane.
You hesitate because they should have been in the "right"
lane all along. Graciously you let them in to make the right turn.
From a spiritual perspective isn't that a lot like folks on life's journey? They push and speed through life changing lanes not considering the fact that at a point they have to turn right. When they get to that point of trouble or even death, they want to get in the right lane trying to make the turn. It's good God is not like man who may not let them in and send them rolling on "down"πŸ”₯the road. Get right now don't miss your turn. πŸ™πŸ½πŸ’Ÿ

"Pay attention to the Lights"
Psalm 19:11, Act. 10:22, Heb.11:7

Something happened when I was driving the other day that caused me to remember my boyhood days. I thought about the first car I ever own. It was an old 1953 Chevy that our white neighbors had for a long time. I remember it didn't have fancy gauges so anytime anything was wrong you had to go under the hood to check. Even get out to check a slack tire. Now all you have to do in cars today is just pay attention to the lights on the instrument panel. When there is an issue a light will come on to alert you to the problem. It’s a warning so then you know to get it checked and fixed so it doesn't end up unfixable or costing you more later to fix it, if it can be.
From a spiritual perspective we have a warning light (the Bible) that shines a light in our life. When something is wrong or we have a potential problem that needs to be fixed. It show us what's wrong so we can take it to the maker and get it fixed. If not it will cost us a lot more later to fix or maybe it's a total loss, eternal life. Pay attention to the lights. πŸ™πŸ½πŸ’Ÿ

"If You know the answer then raise Your hand." Matt. 8:3

In light of all the disasters, wars, storms, floods, earthquakes and many other things that are causing loss of life and limb. I saw on the news the collapse of building due to an earthquake. The debris was piled high, multi story buildings were just piles of rubble. The news that there were people that got trapped inside was mentioned. When the dust settled worker began pulling off layers of metal and concrete. It was very difficult especially with the lack of good equipment. Something amazing happened a few days later that caught my ear. There was a little sound coming from the rubble. A voice coming from under-neath the concrete. A man alive but could not move. Several workers cleared a hole but they couldn't reach the man. They asked if he could move his arms and he tried but was only able to move one. They told him to reach up and they would give him something to drink to keep him alive while they continued to dig. When they got enough debris off they instructed him to reach up again so they could pull him out. He reached up, caught their hand, they pulled him out and he was rescued.
From a spiritual perspective is that not what God does? When we are trapped or the troubles of life cover us up. If we have a relationship with God He hear a noise beneath the burdens when we call out. He says, can you or will you raise your hand? If we raise it in submission and praise God grabs it and pulls us out. Make a noise in belief and God will rescue His own. πŸ™πŸ½πŸ’Ÿ

"The uniqueness of Charlotte's Web." Phil. 4:13

I went outside the other day and while walking through the garage area I was taken aback or stunned for a better word. I just about walked into a spider's web. A little spider had weaved a large web between two of the poles. Now it had not been there a few days ago when I walked through and the night before had been rain and wind. That little web looked undisturbed by the storm. I saw the little spider and didn't bother him but was just amazed as how something so small could produce something so strong that it could withstand the storm??
From a spiritual perspective I thought about some of the storms I have been through. I am small in comparison to the storms but somehow I have been able to weather the storms
because greater is He (God) that is within me than he that is in the world. If God protects the little spider in the storms He will take care of us as believers. Will you trust Him when weak?πŸ™πŸ½πŸ’Ÿ

**A footnote since it’s Revival time, if you destroy a spider’s web the next day they will have it rebuilt. They show us how to revive what is lost. Never give up on what you’ve lost. Revive it

"You pay the Price for the mark"
John 13:34-35, Rom. 13:8,
1 John 3:11

I was just watching some kids with their parents doing back to school shopping. It’s really funny that little kids that cannot even read or write can pick out expensive items of clothing because of the designers. The logo or mark on the item tells them all they need to know.
The shoes, the shirts and jeans. When they go to school they want their friends to see what they have on and it establishes a level of status. They are in this group and known because of the logo/mark. They may not
have a dime in their pocket and the family is poor but they have the mark.
From a spiritual perspective is that not what a lot of church folks do. They have the nice clothes with the cross logo, the praying hands and maybe designer cross jewelry. Looks good and may get you in the "right" crowd but you don't have anything in your heart. You are spiritually broke. It doesn't matter what you wear on the outside because it's the inside that counts. The price has already been paid for the most expensive cross trademark/logo at Calvary. Wear it well. πŸ™πŸ½πŸ’Ÿ
