"Taking care of Business"
John 19:28-30

Something happened this afternoon that I thought was a little unusual but did happen. I am not sure how often. I was standing outside at home when a Fed-Ex driver came down the road. He slowed down, stopped at my driveway and started to back up in my yard. The driver got out, waved and opened the back of his truck. He pulled out his little computer and began looking at the packages. He moved them around, the large one and the small then looking at his computer. After about 15 minutes, he said "I don't have your package, maybe I will have it tomorrow". I told him okay but another driver already delivered it this morning. He was a little embarrassed because his little computer said it was on his truck but it came another way.
I could have been upset by this because it didn't come the way and by who it should. That's not good business??
From a spiritual perspective I thought about how we expect our blessings to come one way but God provide it another way.
In creation we were looking for Adam to deliver our salvation but he messed up, he didn't take care of business. God had to send another delivery man, Jesus. Don't look for another package, it's already been delivered. I'm not upset, I got the eternal package. πŸ™πŸ½πŸ’Ÿ

"When acting like a Child is okay for God".. 1 Cor. 13:11, Matt. 18:3

In the last few years because of some chemical exposure in the military I have had to deal with different medications. Now with
Sis. Lathan, we are dealing with a similar situation. Neither of us like the taste of some of the medication initially but we learn to like it because we knew it was for our good. My mind went back to my childhood days when momma use to give us the not so tasty meds, castoil, fish oil, 666, etc. We were not used to it and it was a different experience. We didn't like the stuff but we some-how acquired a taste since they made us feel better.
From a spiritual perspective it's the same way with the Holy Spirit. When we first taste it, like a child it's strange because we are use to the taste of what we think is "sweet"sin. But as we acquire a taste of the spirit and realize it makes us feel much better. The frown will turn into a smile and it will be sweet to the taste. Don't hate the good medicine, acquire the taste, you will like the effect. πŸ™πŸ½πŸ’Ÿ

"Will the real Winner show up"
Col. 3:13, Matt. 5:23-24

I saw a wreck the other day, it was not too bad and it appeared
no one was hurt. They were trying to figure out who was at fault. I was reminded of an accident I was involved in on the southwest part of town. A guy turned too short and caught the rear side of my car. He got out and didn't understand what had happened. It was a little difficult communicating because he didn't speak English very well. I did get him to understand it was his fault. He acknowledged that and was sorry but unfortunately he didn't have insurance. I was looking at a dented car, not my fault and no one to pay to get it fixed. He said he would get it fixed but he didn't have the money now. What were my options, I could wait on him and drive around with a dented car or go on and get it fixed myself.
Yeah you know what I did, I got my car fixed and paid for it. I did
not want to continue to drive around with a dent in my car. I never did get paid back.
From a spiritual perspective how many of us have dents in our hearts that someone else caused. Someone lied on us, or someone mistreated us and caused damage to our life and we have been walking around with damaged souls waiting on their insurance (conscience) to pay for the cost of the damage.
However they are uninsured (not saved) so they are never gonna pay. So if you don't use your resource (forgiveness ) to pick up the tab yourself, you will forever be living with a dented soul. Who suffers? Pay the tab even if it's not your fault. πŸ™πŸ½πŸ’Ÿ
