Parents,
The Christmas season will soon be upon us! Beginning Wednesday, October 5th, through the remainder of the 2016 year, activities for the children on Wednesday nights will be practice for our upcoming Children's Christmas program. There will be no other classes or activities for children in grades K3-5th. The program is scheduled for Sunday, December 11, 2016.
We invite all of our children to be a part of this year's program! If your child attends on Wednesdays, they will be expected to be in the children's Christmas rehearsals and program. If they will be unable to attend practices regularly, or to participate in the program as scheduled, we respectfully ask that you allow those that will, the full attention of our program director and adult volunteers, so that we may present the story of Jesus' birth through a well-practiced Christmas program. Thank you for your understanding and your support of our children's ministry at HUMC. We look forward to seeing your child at practice and your family at their performance!

I want to take a moment to say thank you to the HUMC church family for allowing me to lead and teach your children over the last 8 years. It has been such a blessing to my family and me, and I hope one to you and yours as well. Though leaving my position as Children's Director at HUMC is bittersweet, I am excited to see what God has in store for us on this new adventure and calling. Calling all confirmands! Confirmation classes will begin in February. We will meet on Sunday afternoons from 4:00pm until 5:00pm and on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 until 6:00pm for 4 weeks. This will prepare confirmands in time for Easter. There is a sign up sheet on the bulletin board across from Ms. Jenn's office.

Acolyte Training! Any child in grade 3 or above may sign up for and attend acolyte training. This is a 4 week class that will meet on Wednesday evening from 5:30 until 6:00pm.

There is a sign up sheet on the bulletin board in the hall across from Ms. Jenn's office.

I could not be more proud of my HUMC kids than I am tonight! They did a MAGNIFICENT job sharing the Christmas story! Thanks to so many that helped make this production a reality and thank you to our youth helpers...the BEST stage hands a director could ask for! We are surely blessed!! Merry Christmas!!!🎄🎄
